Okay I'm back. Sorry, I fainted for a while because I was thinking about the awesome cast. I don't want to talk about the scene too much because I don't give great spoilers so if you want them, head to Dramabeans.com. (links can be found on KBlogz) Here in this blog, I'm talking about the main cast and character only.

Park Yoo Chun  as Lee Seon Jun

Look at my header and you'll know I'm a Chunnie Fan, so I'll be crazy not to watch this. He is the first main character I loved! (I'm usually the second lead lover) Yoo Chun initially received bad criticism about his acting but he's getting good reviews now! I didn't find any flaw about his acting (you can blame my biasness) but I really like his character. Lee Seon Jun personality is somewhat similar to mine. He's all about keeping his principle and dares to use radical moves to proves his points. Of course, with this kind of personality you don't get much friends because it seems like he's a stubborn fellow. WOW, this is the male version of me! Okay maybe not, but I'm Malaysian...we all "tak apa". :P

Park Min Young as Yoon Hee/Yoon Shik

Aha, look...PMY has two names..what could it mean? Yes, it's a cross-dresser theme yet again! I really don't buy PMY being a boy because she's too pretty as a girl. There isn't a moment that I felt she was a boy. Her false boy voice is a little annoying but she doesn't make it hard. Despite saying this, I think she's a good actress. Minus the being a boy thing, I could feel her emotion and I love her characters. I think she is the luckiest person ever... surrounded by guys but she's the only girl..OMG!

Yoo Ah In as  Moon Jae Shin aka Guh Roo (crazy horse)

I actually prefer calling his nickname..Guhroo!! An interesting mysterious character, I just wanted to know more about his past life. His gaze can brings a lot of meaning and I love the fact he's a "bad boy" but he is very innocent when it comes to girl. His friendship with YongHa is interesting, I wonder how the writers would play this off.

Song Joong Ki as Goo Yong Ha

The mischievous upperclassman, I wanted to hate his character but he's so lovable funny. Everytime he smirks, my heart pounders... In terms of acting, Song Joong Ki would get an A+. I would never thought he could play this role. I love that he's suppose to be bad but he's a good person. I know he's always there to help the freshmen.

Jun Tae Soo as Ha In Soo

The enemy of the show, he hold the highest rank in the school. A very cruel person but he's too charismatic to hate. I do hate his character, but one moment he can be so nice, the next second he turn evil.

It's so crazy that I love all four characters...I have done all the crazy fan girl would do. Drool? check, face slapping? check, jumping up and down? check scream?OBVIOUSLY.

Discussing about Dramas

Watching Playful kiss is really annoying. Hah. Are you shock by that statement? Well, honestly I'm not talking about the drama but probably a combination of slow internet and crappy buffering that hinders me from viewing the drama on Viikii.

It's like 8 episode already but the only full video I could is is part 1 episode 1. I could watch I am Legend drama finish but not Playful Kiss. It's a mystery! I hate buffering (um..in case it's jargon for you, it means the process of loading the video..if you don't know what jargon means..google it)

So MAYBE I won't watch that drama. I am Legend is over but I'm not going to write a review just yet because um, I need to draft it out first. I've been blogging hastily lately so I want a good post for once.

My Girlfriend is Gumiho seems pretty good, though I'm still a bit skeptic about it since there been too many times I got disappointed by overpraise reviews. I want light hearted and funny drama because those heavy ones are dragging me..Buffering kills me. As an unofficial E.L.F. (um..I still haven't blog about fanclubs..it's a difficult post to write!) probably I should watch Siwon's Oh My Lady. The plot is a little too predictable..we shall see.

This is a random posting again..when is HallyuSurfer ever going to be serious? I'm chasing away my readers!

Drama Discuss : Playful Kiss

With SS501 leader, Kim Hyun Joong staring the lead role of this Japanese manga turn into drama this drama created a lot of hype because this is his first gig after left DSP Entertainment.

So the drama is out and it got probably the lowest rating this year. I wasn't surprise at all since it went against Baker King Kim Takgu (aka Bread,Love and Dreams) and My Girlfriend is GuMiHo. If you didn't know,  Baker King Kim TakGu has already garnered a national drama status with 40% in ratings while My Girlfriend is GuMiHo is starred by Lee Seung Gi, the man who achieved 70% ratings last year with Shining Inheritance(Brillant Legacy)/1D2N.

I'm actually disappointed with Kim Hyun Joong choice of playing this role because the previous one was Boys Over Flowers, which is also adapted from a Japanese manga. Nevertheless I'm excited for this. I've been wanting to watch this drama in Taiwanese version however the number of episode made me not. ahaha I can't stand buffer.

Currently I'm also watching I am Legend, love it and I can't wait for the next episode! I'll be writing more about my thoughts about it when it ends. As for this drama (playful Kiss), I will give commentary for each  episode for the first time ever in this blog!

Back when Autumn in My heart first premiered in Malaysia.. i wrote the description of the drama for my friends..good times! LOL I wondered if I could still do it so that's why I'm doing this challenge.

Drama talk

The above picture is "Love in the Vineyard" starring Yoon Eun Hye and Oh Man Seok while the below picture is "Happiness in the Wind" starring Kim So Eun.

I think Love in the Vineyard is the only Yoon Eun Hye drama I haven't watched and I heard great reviews regarding Oh Man Seok..I want to know what's the big fuss about this guy since I watched him in Jolly Widows but I wasn't really impress.

I've been watching daily short drama since You're my destiny which means I've watched 4! The Road Home is my current favorite but Happiness in the wind isn't bad at all! Daily drama is really long drama, up to 100 episode.

I love Happiness in the Wind but daily drama is getting me bored at times...I think the twist and turns are rather ridiculous at times. One thing for sure, you know who is ending up with who at the end. The common theme would be rich falling love with poor or vice versa..The main character is always poor and the partner will be the son/daughter of a rich person.

For this drama, I hate it's about age difference. 1st couple is a guy who's in his 30's with a out of wedlock child falling in love with a 20 year old. 2nd couple is a 20's guy falling in love with a widow woman in her 40's. 3rd one, is of course..a poor girl who fell in love with a son of a business woman.

Bring on a new theme! Why there must be a rich/poor relationship in every drama?

Born on 4th of August 1987, Jang Geun Suk is not only famous for acting but also as a singer. Although having said that, his main work is in the acting scene. With his good looks (rumored to have PS) he also receive a lot of CF (Commercial Film) offers. Here's JGS doing all 3 talents!

Park Shin Hye as Go Mi Nam/Go Mi Nyu

Kdrama lovers must recognise this pretty face right? She stars in the famous Kdrama few years back "Stairway to Heaven" as the young version of Kim Tae Hee. Just like Jang Geun Suk, she received a lot of CF offers as well. If the kiss in "You're Beautiful" doesn't satisfy you, Here's her CF with Jang Geun Suk.



She's not only a pretty face but a great dancer as well!

He's a member of a Kpop group (but doing promotion in Japan) C.N. Blue and he has a famous brother named Jung Kyung Ho picture here . His Bday is on June 22nd 1989!

The youngest of the cast, Lee HongKi is famous in the Kpop scene since he is F.T. Island lead vocalist. Looking the above picture, don't he look pretty than most girls? Yeah and He is! He and JGS are on the list of "Kkot Mi Nam" If you're interested with the list,read here

Kdrama Review : Iris

This drama is shown in KBS World and why would I miss watching this? Personally I'm not a fan of action movie but that doesn't mean I don't expect anything!

Currently I've been reading about good reviews and with amazing cast, no doubt I'm having high hopes about this drama. I have watched 1st 2 episode already and it's good!

It's my 1st time seeing Lee Byung Hun in action and he's really charismatic! His English is good, no surprise since he did act in a hollywood movie "G.I. Joe" remember? His interaction with one of my favourite faces, Kim TaeHee is really sweet.

I'm not up for the action but rather the story behind Lee Byung Hun character..I like mystery plot and I'm glad I have something to look forward to beside relationship. Like most Kdrama, you know who's going to end up with who just by looking at the cast and Iris is no different.

Who should watch it?

Big Bang fan!! T.O.P. is in it! He looks really good in acting! Don't forget to watch it V.I.P.!

A DBSK Update

Although YooChun, JaeJoong and JunSu isn't on the same page with ChangMin and YunHo, the future of Tohoshinki will remain the same as plan with comebacks on 2010.

After Yunho completed Heading to the Ground drama, it's time for JaeJoong to head in the acting scene with Heaven's Postman.

JaeJoong recently attended the Press Conference to unveil the movie.

This movie will starred by JaeJoong and Han Hyo Joo (Shining Inheritance). The theatrical release date for this telecinema project is scheduled to be November 11th. It's also projected to air on SBS some time in 2010.

Weird..I mean there's nothing wrong but it's weird hearing an actor sings good! In drama actor always sing out of tune! It's Ok but I don't really enjoy the song.



Park Shin Hye "Without Words"

I love love this song, am not going to tell you why because it's a spoiler if you didn't watch the drama. She doesn't have a really strong vocals but it's not bad. I still think she's a girl..she can't convice me as a guy. she's too feminine!

Kdrama Review: You're Beautiful

I always like tomboy character so I knew I must watch this!

This story is about an idol group called A.N.Jell which consist of Leader and Vocalist TaeKyung, Guitarist ShinWoo, Drummer Jeremy and Sub vocalist MiNam. Minam is actually a girl who helping her twin brother who undergoes some surgery. Guess who will find out "Minam"'s real gender first?

This is so Hana Kimi! I am so inlove with this drama that I have finished up to episode 8 in two days.. now I have to wait for the next..Can't wait!

Park Shin Hye(MiNam) is really a girl in my eyes.. she didn't even try to fake the voice! but it's ok.. I don't want to turn lesbian..LOL I love her innocent character and she's really is beautiful! I mean, refering to Taiwan's Hana Kimi.. Ella looks like a drag when she becomes a girl! OMO!!! Memories..LOL

Geunseuk(TaeKyung), He's a good actor but I feel like he overacts..it's ok though..I mean there are people like that right? Just don't agree with the clean freak part because it seem not matching..and Night blindess? Omg, this guy is trouble!

YeongHwa (ShinWoo) is definitely my favourite! he's a smart and really thoughtful. Too bad he is too good for himself..oh well, at least in my dreams, he's MINE..LOL

HongKi(Jeremy) The funny guy and just like in Hana Kimi..he will be like Jiro! SOOOOO CUTE! Opps, sorry I give some spoilers already! It's weird not seeing him as the lead singer..He had the nicest blonde I've seen with Korean guys!

Kdrama Review: The Queen Returns

Forgive me for saying this but, at first I was going to skip this drama!

Since I have nothing to watch, I just bring myself to watch this..and I like it!
it's not boring..which thought it's going to be, it's rather nicely done for a first 2 episode!

So back to why, I don't want to watch..I don't know any of the main cast previous work.. the only person I know is JaeHun who is a MC in Sang Sang Plus.

This story is about 2 ladies who got the live mix up because of one mistake..Pregnancy!

Here's the synopsis from HanCinema

Cha Do-kyung was an “it girl” and center of the attention during her school days. Thanks to her looks and affluent family background, she was surrounded by many suitors and admirers. On the other hand, Jang Gong-sim, Do-kyung’s friend, who always lagged far behind Do-kyung in every aspect felt inferior to her while growing up.

However, Do-kyung’s accidental one-night stand with Bong-hee, Gong-sim’s then boyfriend, led to an unwanted pregnancy with twins. Do-kyung and Bong-hee’s subsequent marriage made the two women live a very different life.

Although I said I like it, I actually have more complains than compliment..
but it's entertainment..just take the drama lightly!

Kdrama Review: Heading to the Ground

So I have finished an episode.. Dorky U-know is really not my type and it's really heartbreaking to see him with someone who's not really that pretty! (a lil bit spoiler..)

Yunho need to work on his facial expression, it's too fake! But it's his 1st time acting (alone..i know about Banjun and Vacation) so i'll cut some slacks

Lee Yoon Ji is in this drama!! Omg! She's pretty and she is such natural.. :)

There were few corny lines.. =.= and it's all about Soccer! lol I think Junsu would do this role better..plus YunHo is too handsome to play a dorky role!

Go Eun Ah is really pretty and i can pretty much assume that she will be linked to YunHo.. I really hope not with Yoon Ji because she's older!

Korean dramas have some sort of recipe for making one..
it must have someone rich and someone poor..

it's over and over formula but it's ok.. I enjoy seeing rich people!
Although it does gets my nerves when a rich person acting poor.. :(

The real drama starts at 2nd episode... 1st episode is kinda boring..but then when you wait till the end, the drama unfolds into a darker mode.. i guess i'll be watching episode 2 then?

Kdrama Talk: Heading to the Ground

Kdrama Review: My Fair Lady

Last night was the premiere of "My Fair Lady" in KBS World.

Being Yoon Eun Hye biased, this is a must watch for me!

Because of YEH, this drama creates a lot of buzz and it really doesn't help reading comments regarding her acting. Yoon Sang Hyun was in the movie, and i know he's famous for singing "Never ending story" so yeah this drama is famous.

YEH wasn't as bad as i thought, i guess people are just not ready to see her potraying a new character. The drama sort of reminds me of "Boys over Flower" since it's about lavish live of a girl.

Honestly, i didn't watch much of this drama because i'm basically fast forwading not because it's boring but I wanted to see IlWu! he wasn't in the 1st episode but he will tonight!

I'm going to watch the 1st episode again and review this back.

Update (19 Sept)

Okay, now i can see where YEH acting goes.. the little famous kid is in this drama.. he's quite funny so I have more to look forward to in this drama

I like how the drama evolves..can't wait for the next episode!

I love Beethoven Virus and THIS SONG! At first, i didn't really like this song but as i watched Beethoven Virus.. I fell in love with this song too! This song really fits the drama,

SuJu K.R.Y. was a nice surprise to this Drama! OMG, as soon KyuHyun sing, i was like OMGGGGGGGGG!!!! SuJu K.R.Y.!!! I hate when drama ends but when KyuHyun voice comes in.. i'll just sing-a-long! Love love love Partner drama. I thought i would be spazzing Kim Dong Wook, but Lee Dong Wook was too charming to not pay attention!

Drama Review: He Who Can't Marry

KBS "He Who Can't Marry" stars Ji Jin Hee, Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim So Eun

Yes, you might have guess it.. I watch this because of SO EUN! I absolute love her in BOF, so I'm excited to see her again in a new drama! (Note: I do realise The Partner and this have BOF actors!)

From the title, I guess the character must be some kind of a weirdo and I was right! AGAIN~ but, it's funny so I'm loving this! I was rather share the same value with this weirdo though.. here's a roughly quote (from the subtitle)

"Marriage is seem like a final goal, everyone felt the pressure to achieve it. But if you had different outlook, it's not important."

"Yes, that's the beauty of being single.. you don't have to be stuck with a life support for your family.. I can choose to die by sailing in the ocean without any worries"

Hemm.. Kind of what I'm going to say in the future, but that's a different story!

The main character is a 40 yr old guy that owns an architect business. He a weird guy but i can totally relate since i'm weird too! If you're interested in modern culture.. this drama gives you an insight of what Korea thinks of being single at old age and marriage. I just learn it's weird to eat beef alone! Korean beef, mind you is not CHEAP.. expensive!

Sometimes, if you know celeb too much.. it feels awkward to watch them potray another character.. Uhm Jung Hwa as a DOCTOR?? LOL Kim So Eun is 27?? Kim Gunmo appears once in the 1st episode was hilarious! I was like "LOL Kim GunMo is soo pathetic, even in drama.. he is an old unmarried man!"

Drama Review: The Partner

KBS "The Partner" Stars Lee Dong Wook (My Girl), Kim Hyun Joo (Boys Over Flowers), Lee Hanui (aka Honey Lee) and Kim Dong Wook (Coffee Prince)

I haven't watched any Lee Dong Wook film.. so i had some imaginary thoughts on him. Turns out he potrays somewhat goofy, which is not what i was picturing. Kim Hyun Joo, however kind of shock me because I didn't realize it was her.. because she look so ajumma-ish! Honey Lee is so gorgeous! I like her cool character, doesn't make you think her as Miss Korea! Kim Dong Wook..awww, I like him! I like his character since Coffee Prince! He is the reason why i watched this..I hope his character would not be too much alike with his previous drama.

I have watched 4 episode.. and it's kind of getting boring! Perhaps i was asking too much since it's a Law drama. Not much intensity in the cases.. a little too bland!

The 1st case was interesting but the second one..YAWN! Detective Conan is my favourite comic you know..murder cases are my cup of tea! Hopefully this drama would revolve around the drama cases and just a lil bit more on Kim Dong Wook. Lee Dong Wook is a Turn Off for me.. I don't like his character! But thank goodness he's a cutie!

from what i have read in soompi.. unlike other version.. the drama will have more story on Akira and Soujiroh (sorry i don't remember the korean names yet..) I think its good because apparently.. i don't really remember their family name..or is it Akira and Soujiroh their family name?? LOL

Yeah.. i know, Lee Min Ho is just teasing us.. he's probably not ready yet to really show off the curly locks.. Take the hoodie down man!

In case you forget.. Boys Over Flower will be airing on KBS2 this December.. let's hope there will be NO delays..lately Kpop scene has a LOT of delays
