Untouchable update

If you have been reading this blog long enough, you would know that I am a big fan of Untouchable. They're going to enlist for military by the end of this year and my heart sank. I'm always excited for their new release and so this would mean 2 years of no new song.

The good news is that Untouchable duo will be enlisting on the same day! Yeah, I thought it's a nice way to go military, with your good friend and I'm just so happy that it also mean that they will be leaving military together! Less time waiting for them to be back together!

TS Entertainment seems like a cool company, the CEO always give this duo a complete trust on their music and I really appreciate it. Before they enlist for military, Untouchable will be releasing one last single! One only? I really hope it's with HwaYoung who is darn amazing with Tell Me Why, Back Again and so many other songs. It'd be nice if they collaborate with TSE upcoming boyband (Bang Yong Guk's group) or Secret! Gosh, all this talk is making me sad... Kajimayo Untouchable!

Impact!

I guess my prayers had been answered because according to a rumor, Byun Jang Moon of the former A'ST1 member will be re-debuting later this year with a four membered group called "Impact".

The rumor broke out during ZE:A's showcase, Impact was introduced and is said to be following a similar style with JYP's 2AM. Oh my gosh, this is perfect. More ballads for me to hear that crisp clear voice of JangMoon. Although I wished he went solo. Blaah better than nothing.

The group is under Star Empire Entertainment which is the same agency of ZE:A, Nine Muses (or 10..) and Jewelry. So that explain why he's on ZE:A's Here I am MV!!! Let's hope this group is real and will get success. I know I will be waiting. BYUN JANG MOON baby!

UPDATE : [RUMORS] #1 Jung Woo Sung said that he will break up with Lee Ji Ah is the divorce is true #2  They probably already divorced? Seo TaiJi's side says 2006 and Lee Ji Ah side says 2009..this is seriously wtf. #3 Unlike the media reported, the couple has no kids.

The news of Seo TaiJi and Lee Ji Ah as a married couple is mind blowing shocking statement. Here's my list of shocking news of the day.

#1 The marriage is kept for 14 years!

I would have thought there wouldn't be any secret marriage as Korean netizen often shown us how incredibly efficient on getting information. Lee Young Ae secret marriage should have prompt them to search on more secret marriage, but whoops this big secret wasn't revealed by them.

#2 It's freaking Seo TaiJi

Often referred as the father of Kpop or Legendary, this guy may not appear much on TV but Kpop idols of today can't stop talking about his idol days. He is kind of the guy you expect to not get married at the early age.

#3 It's Lee Ji Ah

This is the girl who is rumored to be dating Jung Woo Sung and Jung Woo Sung has confirmed that he is dating someone. Okay, you might read all over the news that Jung Woo Sung confirms that he is dating Lee Ji Ah but I saw the clip in Entertainment Weekly, and I don't think he ever mention Lee Ji Ah's name. Although I just read that Jung Woo Sung was with Lee Ji Ah when the news broke out.

#4 They have 2 children

It's only natural that they have children, 14 years of marriage but no children? Gosh, have you not seen Korean mother in laws on TV? It's shocking because it's Seo TaiJi's children. 

#5 Lee Ji Ah's real age revealed

According to her official profile, it is listed that she was born on 1981 making her only 16 at the time of marriage on 1997. However it was revealed she was actually born on 1977 but that doesn't make it any less shocking, I'm 20...I'm not thinking of marriage yet and many people in Korea today prefers to marry at the age of 30 or more.

#6 Will Lee Ji Ah be going to jail?

While no one talks about this, adultery is a serious crime in Korea that may make offenders head to prison. If Jung Woo Sung is in fact dating Lee Ji Ah, Seo TaiJi may press charges against Lee Ji Ah.

#7 We might never know this 

If it wasn't for Lee Ji Ah requesting for a divorce or this settle in private manner, we will never know about this at all. 

#8 They're getting divorce

Sadly we only know this today but they're heading for divorce apparently because Lee Ji Ah wants to be with Jung Woo Sung.

Another thing is I remembered reading an article last year when news of Yang Hyun Suk getting married and there was sort of a promise thingie that they wouldn't get married article. Which also means that YG and Lee Juno had no idea of this marriage too? Let me see if I could search that article for you...oh wait, no I remembered it wrongly. Here's the quote (credits to AllKPop)

Theories on how this can be kept as a secret

1. They were married overseas and only met overseas

In an article I read, it is said that Lee Ji Ah and Seo TaiJi only meet up in US or in Japan.

2. Lee Ji Ah isn't the real name

Her real name is apparently Kim Sang Eun, and when she entered her company she was Kim Ji Ah and officially she is known as Lee Ji Ah. With the names changes, I believe makes information harder to search.

3. She doesn't have a pre-debut picture and no picture with friends

Way damn mysterious. She studied in US but come on, I've seen NS Yoon Ji's picture to Kim Ki Bum's picture while they studied in US.

My prediction of the outcome

There will be more secrets being revealed and I'm sure this isn't an easy battle. Jung Woo Sung reportedly mentioned has no clue that she is married and has children. Gosh, I don't know how would he feel. It's horrible. 

Okay, since Lee Ji Ah speaks fluent English and in case she might read this...I just want to add that I am not entirely sure that these information is true but I posted it anyway because it's everywhere. I got most of the information from Twitter. I don't think it's bad that they keep this BIG secret, but it's just sad it ended this way. I never like hearing divorce stories and I felt sorry for Jung Woo Sung. It's hard enough to revealed your in a relationship but to discover that your partner is actually married is not cool.

Korean Drama is often extreme in terms of plot formation especially daily drama but this is like blockbuster movie, wow..I might get headache with all this drama. Let the news roll!

Must watch video : Kpop Music Mondays by Simon and Martina

Oh Monday, how we hate it. Actually any other days (except Sundays) seems pretty the same because I'm on a break but I know the feeling of Monday mornings. It's horrible.


But worries over, because there's something new to look forward on Monday and that's eatyourkimchi.com Kpop Music Mondays! I found their video by surprise because I was looking for Dalmatian eng sub shows (which reminds me I haven't watch it yet) and the first video on the list of search was their review!





I clicked on the video because it's not everyday you see a Caucasian talking about Korean culture..it's interesting yo~! So I got hooked, and watch their entire episode of Kpop Music Mondays!


It's interesting to see a foreigner take on Kpop video because I'm really like the typical Kpop fan, it's hard to react beyond squealing and clapping. LOL. The couple, Simon and Martina lives in Bucheon, Korea but you don't get the sense of a typical Kpop fan reaction. (except Big Bang because Martina is a huge V.I.P.)

Their blog is equally interesting, because I always like reading blogs as opposed to watching Vlogs. You can watch videos and read more information on Eat Your Kimchi

New UKiss

"New" because it is...I mean to not confuse you right? I think it's better if they debuted with a new name. Just in case you have not heard/read... Xander and KiBum left the group and insert AJ and Hoon. For more details, just google it because that's not what I blogging about.

Back in 2008, I was one of the very few international fan of U-Kiss. I can say like it is because back in 2008 not only international fan is less but also U-Kiss isn't very popular. Many fans even thought they debuted in 2009 with Man Man Ha Ni but nope, they debuted in 2008 with Not Young. I also know that U-Kiss already won Rookie awards back in 2008 but not much knew in 2009 because they're voting them for Best New Artist as well in 2009.

However the constant change  made me like them less and lesser. Lots of people didn't like "Not Young" and thought "I Like you" was funny. I was a fan at both with good knowledge of their backgrounds and such...but when they comeback with KiSeop with Man Man Ha Ni, I just got disappointed.

I was disappointed because U-Kiss was a different kind of idol and end up being the same. From Man Man Ha Ni onwards, I didn't like any of their songs. However the news of KiBum and Xander left the group made me sad because I was a fan. When I was a U-Kiss fan, I love the whole group members.

I have nothing against Hoon but bring AJ in was too much. AJ is the guy who talks bad about KiKwang back when KiKwang was promoting as AJ. I didn't like the way AJ responded so this guy never got good impression with me.

0330 is a good song but how much does a song can win me back to be a fan again? It's just not right.

Big Bang VS Music Bank

Disclaimer : I love Big Bang and Music Bank. I just have opinions to voice out. Take it or leave it, because I'm not an anti and you shouldn't be taking it too seriously.

The problem lies with YG Entertainment, their marketing strategy is too ridiculous for Korean scene. Back when 2NE1 debut, YGE made the girls perform once a week which I think is arrogant. What kind of excuse is "to enhance performance quality" 2NE1 should have work just as hard as other rookies! YGE also made 2NE1 comeback with 3 songs and made them perform 3 full performance which unheard of with any veteran Kpop idols especially 1 year old idols!

In 2010, I got fed up reading articles that Big Bang was going to make a comeback but nothing happen. Instead Seungri made a comeback and GD&T.O.P made a debut. V.I.P. probably like that but I don't, I felt cheated.

In fact I was surprised Big Bang made a comeback this year, after all there was a rumor regarding Big Bang members were not in good terms! When KBS didn't let Big Bang have their way, I completely understand why.

1. NO YGE perform on KBS Music Festival in 2010.

YGE refuse to let their artist perform because of the "award" thingie which come on, validate the fact they only want to come if they win. Which YGE assume SNSD is taking the prize.

2. YGE requested 3 performance and interview

Probably because TVXQ had almost 10 mins time on MB, YGE wanted the same treatment because Big Bang is a huge idol as well. Where the humbleness? Okay fine, Big Bang does deserve the same treatment but I'm pretty sure SME inform MB PD in advance. YGE is a master in delayed comeback. SME artiste doesn't delay a comeback unless something really bad happen.

I can't find any reason to support YGE. Why did they pulled out with just a day before the performance? WHY? Without any explanation, I am free to say that YGE is arrogant. Just because your artiste isn't going to win the awards doesn't make sense.

Fans who complain Big Bang MB comeback stage was poorly done, are you thinking or not?YGE said yes at the last minute, surely the stage isn't going to be stellar! And Music Bank doesn't need Big Bang, they have the kbsworld. :P

Big Bang is not at fault, YGE is. YGE needs to be humble for once.

Must Watch Video : ZE:A Here I am

I always listen song before watching MV, I'd go Youtube and just listen the video for weeks but I would probably have yet to watch the video. Or probably I would download video and not paying attention until I feel like it. Sometimes I only watch MV because I want to write a blog. Yeah bad bad habit.

So, I got a video of ZE:A and I just watched Infinite Nothing's Over so I was feeling blaaah to watch another cutesy video. I caught a glimpse of the actor and taught he looked familiar but I resume on doing something else..it's call multitasking. So I taught hey, the song isn't all that good probably the video will make me like it more..HECK YEAH.

I can't believe my eyes that it was in fact BYUN JANG MOON! I had to check that it's really him! I miss A'ST1 so much I'm not kidding and I am just over the moon about JangMoon being on the video. You know what, he would make the song way better. His voice has always been my favorite! I'd replay and pause every time the camera pans on him. Why is his screen time so short???? 

I actually like the song, I just find the chorus "Here I am" is annoying.  It's like an alarm ringtone that you dreaded...I wish the second part would be more melodic instead of stagnant "Here I am" probably the composer got the inspiration from Secret Garden's "Munjawaseo, Munjawaseo"

Okay, Jang Moon ah, please sing again..don't make a comeback as an actor! I think you could but there's nothing more I would want than to hear you sing again. Idol, solo or not..I just want to hear your singing voice!

YongSeo Foreba...not?

When I first saw the rumor posted on FB, I was flipping out..wanted to post a cursing comment to the admin who posted the rumor. YongSeo is like the cutest couple on "We Got Married"!

Unfortunately it was confirmed that the couple will be leaving the show..dang. I have nothing to look forward on Sundays apart from new Detective Conan chapters translation. Initially I was interested with YongHwa new upcoming drama "Festival" along side with his previous co-star on You're Beautiful, Park Shin Hye. I was totally rooting for ShinHyuk and Minam but we all know that didn't happen. Now I'm so dreading for it because I believe it's the root for this problem! He even quit his gig on Inkigayo for this drama!

YongSeo, Goguma couple..to make it up for me, please announce you're dating. I can't see anyone else with Baby SeoHyun.

Haha this is so weird, this is something only a die hard fan would understand. I'm having flashbacks, I have blog about this odd pairing but it's turn out to be my favorite couple ever, yes beating Andy and Solbi couple (which is equally very cute).

I take back what I said a year ago. Whatever it was, I just want them on foreba.

Must Watch Video : Music Bank MV Song Ji Eun Going Crazy

I'd take this over performance anytime Music Bank, your stage always seem to plain. Again, Music Bank did a better MV the original MV! I love San.E's Music Bank MV and Norazo Music Bank MV too.

The video is way creepy but I love it because it has more plot line than the original Music video which I don't remember at all..All I remember was Min Hyo Rin driving the car and Song Ji Eun singing with the rapper...Hey that is what the video about right? BOORING!

Song Ji Eun should just have the good ole black hair. I love blue hair but she looks gorgeous with black hair! Black hair is soo rare on female idols..I want the return of black hair! Except if it's Jessica, HyunAh and HyoSung (because I love her freaking colored hair)

Kim Bum Soo or Soya?

I'm really happy for Big Bang's win last week but when I saw the contender, my heart sank. It was Mighty Mouth feat. Soya "Tok Tok" which is so addicting and fun to listen to. I wish they won at least once..but Big Bang have to take their trophy. :(



Recently, the original version of the song is release featuring Kim Bum Soo.



Initially this is set to be promoted however Kim Bum Soo schedule conflict so they released Soya's version. It's not much difference but I like both version the same. I love watching Soya performs it with the duos but Kim Bum Soo smooth soft vocals is just so good too!

I don't say this often but I like both version, don't care which is original because I like the different meaning/feel to the song.

Idol Analysis : Secret

I think it's time to change things a little bit on Idol Analysis..so I wanted to blog about Secret, who just completed their promotion on Shy Boy and now Song Ji Eun is back with "Going Crazy"

This is probably the first group that even before their official debut that I'm already a fan. Does help being Untouchable fan, who with Secret is from TS Entertainment.

SeonHwa

Who is probably the famous one in the group thanks to her stint on variety shows. I knew SunHwa first out of all the other member because she caught my attention on the following video.




This was back in 2009, I thought she was super adorable in the performance and made me watch all Untouchable performance of this song! Not that I didn't like this song, I just like watching idols more...:P I was surprise and excited when she's going to debut, and till today she remain my favorite member. So what she's a "Blank paper"? She's adorable.


Ji Eun



The "voice" in the group, I like her instantly because her voice is soothing. She's the first to debut solo. From the above video, the voice is hers but not the girl. Because SunHwa replace her in the performance, she is often confuse with SunHwa. I hope with her solo debut people would pay more attention to her.



The Blue freaking hair! Gaah. I wanted HyoSung to have that hair..now Song Ji Eun stole her silly haircolor...huhu but she looked great. The horror : It's real hair.

G.na, After School Uee, Wonder Girls YooBin...What is the relation of HyoSung with them? All of them used to be in a group called Five Girls but disbanded before debuting due to financial difficulties.

If I have to choose my favorite idol rapper, it would be Miryo of Brown Eyed Girls..but Zinger come close in second. The following video (with cameos from the other girls) proves her smooth rap to 50 Cent Candy Shop.

Must Watch Video : Lee Hyun you are the best of my life

This video is very cute..and if you're a movie buff, I'm sure you are reminded of "Shallow Hal" a movie starred by Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black. I'm not entirely sure the relation of every cast but the guy (who probably is the boss) is portrayed by Bang Shi Hyuk which is the composer of the song. The guy who got scolded is Baek Chan, who is Lee Hyun's group member in 8eight. The fake grandma is portrayed by 2AM's ChangMin who is Lee Hyun good friend because they collaborate last year as Homme. I guess Changmin brought Jung Juri the comedienne along, since they knew each other from Star Golden Bell, my favorite show ever! The Bagel (Baby + Glamorous) girl, JiHyun of 4Minute...probably Lee Hyun's ideal girl??? ehehe.

Drama Trivia : Dream High

Looking at my statistic, my all time most viewed post is You're Beautiful Cast Trivia. I love drama and trivia, go figure. :D So to start off, I choose Dream High because it's my thing..idol drama.

Go Hye Mi acted by SuZy

Suzy is the youngest member of Miss A (also the youngest of the main cast), the group that gives us hits like "Bad Girl Good Girl" and "Breathe" last year. In one scene in Dream High where she sleeps with his on-screen sister, she was really sleeping and woke up the morning after. This story was told on Happy Together Season 3. She received harsh criticism on her acting on the early episode.

Song Sam Dong acted by Kim Soo Hyun

The only non idol/singer in the main cast. While filming for this show, his birthday falls on the same day and the rest of the cast throw him a birthday party. He was offered to be a singer but he declined and choose to focus on acting. He was an MC for a music chart show on a cable channel along side with Kara SeungYeon.

Hyeon Si Hyuk/JinGook acted by TaecYeon (left), Jason acted by Woo Young

2 members of 2PM acted on this drama, Taecyeon had early experience with from another KBS Drama "Cinderella Stepsister" and it's WooYoung first time acting. The similarity WooYoung and his character is they both win first place on their auditions. In this drama, WooYoung had to speak English because his character is from US but TaecYeon who speaks good English didn't.

Yoon Baek Hee acted by EunJung

Similarly to Taecyeon, EunJung has her experience in acting on "Coffee House". She's in the group T-Ara, which she was once a leader before it was change to Boram. Her position in T-ara is rapper but she doesn't rap much in this drama. She often take selca (Self Camera) on sets and post it on her Twitter account.

Kim Pil Suk acted by IU

Dubbed as the "National Little Sister". IU has her first time acting in this drama. She initially thought that her character won't have much screen time but her character is lovable along side with WooYoung. In the scene where she looks for songs to sing at the Japan wedding reception, she took a book which is her real life songs. Additionally the scene at the hospital, her Mickey mouse hairband sold out after the episode premiered.

More Trivia~!

The building of the school will be used as a museum (?) after filming and will be open for the public. The drama is co-produced by Park Jin Young (who portrayed Yang Jin Man) and Bae Yong Jun (who portrayed Jung Ha Myung) which is why actors and cameos are from their respective company. Furthermore Park Jin Young also produced the singles of the Drama OST. So yeah, guess who cash in more money?

Random Talk : Blog Direction

I wanted my blog to be taken seriously however it's hard because I like to add unnecessary personal comment into everything. I want to do more reviews but there's so many songs that I'm afraid I couldn't cover before the next single comes out. I don't like leaving out anyone so it's a dilemma.

With the inconsistent existent of the internet connection. It's hard to blog because it seems like every time when inspiration comes, I don't have internet connection. Delayed writing end up feeling like stale bread. Sorry to say, it occurred to me that I should stop blogging altogether. It's not the first time I made this decision, but I'm not leaving this blog yet because I know I always make rush decision when it comes to blogging.

Will this be the end or not, I leave it up to Kpop idols. Will they slow things down a little or do I end up drifting away from it. Kpop magic seems to fade, I'm happy for their achievements overseas but creative department has become so rush I can't seem to fully enjoyed it.

Here's a question for you. "Will you miss this blog?"

Album Review : One Way's Rainy Days

I had so many in my mind that I simply can't make up my mind of what should I write next. I wanted to do Homin's new album but well, I'm not inspired to do so. I've been listening to One Way's Rainy Days album for about two weeks and heck, why not?!

01 The Forecast (feat One Sound Choir)



As the introduction song for the album, this is very impressive and best describe of what to expect of the rest of the album. I love the beautifully compose instrumental in the background against the smooth raps. One Sound Choir adds in more drama to the song with impressive tone that sound like a rainstorm. I usually skip introduction song but this is high quality music.


02 Rainy Days (feat Junsu of 2PM)



Junsu had a similar tone voice with One Way's vocalist (I'm sorry that I failed to memorize their name yet but I will) but after countless replay of this song in other 2 version, I can tell them apart. JunSu doesn't play a huge role in this song but it's interesting anyway to hear his ad-libs on this song. It gives more depth on the song.

03 New Drag



I love the hilarious intro and ending! I kinda understand what they were talking in the beginning. "Hajima" part was funny, it mean's "don't do it". I love the playfulness with the song and I'm imagining what's going on with the studio.

04 Bba Jyeo



"Bba Jyeo" according to Google Translate is "Out". It has the addicting feel and I randomly hum it everyday! What I love about One Way's music is each part sounds excellent and the guitar solo at the end was awesome!

05 Forever (Chance's Solo)



A light-hearted music, I love it was place in the middle of the hip hop album to give listener a break to listen a beautiful acoustic rhythm. This song shows One Way's versatility in music. A relaxing music to sooth your soul.

06 Flight 101 (feat As One)



I'm actually surprise on how much I love this single. It's not the regular song I always love, it's like 180 degree transformation from the usual beats/rhythm/music I always liked. I love the quirky Captain Pilot imitation in the beginning, As One vocal is so soothing that it contrast well in this song. This song is upbeat and gets me grooving to the song.

07 Can't Stop



Probably my least favorite because compare on what I've heard earlier tracks, this sound a little boring. Nevertheless, I still enjoy listening to it occasionally before moving on to replay Flight 101.

08 Coffee (feat J.ae)



I always skip this song. I don't like the intro and it's about coffee(?) which I'm not fond of. I can't reviewed this because I can make myself to listen to this.

09 Rainy Days (Acoustic/Unplugged English Version)



This is the first single I listen and right away I got to listen to the whole album! I love the strip down Rainy Days and it's in ENGLISH! I do love Korean but sometime it makes no sense for me to sing Korean..This song I can proudly sing anytime without anyone turning their heads! This song definitely gave a great impact on me wanting to purchase this album.

10 A Thousand Words



Another English track, at first I wasn't really loving the song because it sound so sad and I'm already feeling down. I was so wrong, I LOVED IT! The lyrics is too beautiful to describe, I just like how it feels like he's speaking with someone. The harmonization was on the spot. Dang, I feel the emotion on the part "I love you, you know I love you right? Can you hear me? Are you There? ..." I answered all the question while listening to this song. LOL

11 Coffee (Trumpet Version)

The rest is the instrumental which are the least played. It's a nice touch on the album but I prefer the original version.

Would I purchase this album? Definitely. I haven't listen to much album this year but this for me is the best. I wished they appeared more on TV in the future.

Contract Scandal

In case you haven't read about it, 4 members of Kara (SeungYeon, JiYoung, Nicole, Hara) has terminate the contract with DSP. For me, it was shocking because I never see this coming. As an experienced fan, this time I choose not to be emotional about it.

After DBSK and SuJu, I don't care anymore about which sides are telling the truth. I guess there's truth in all their statements but it's very contradicting and it's confusing of which side to choose. I still keep update with the issue as it's interesting how the deal when through but I'm not going to say I wish Kara win or whatever..

Just an opinion, it's way too early for Kara to be in this battle. They're young and it's the best time to solidify their position in the industry. This battle isn't a day or two, it can take a long time and it's going to be draggy. Kara shouldn't have this legal issue going on at the time like this when every opportunity is precious. The contract is not simple with only Kara and the company involve, it's includes outside party as well.

Kara parents should have learn from JYJ that it's not easy. JYJ has slightly more advantage because of their solid fanbase. JYJ had to debut on US because they had complication with Korean AND Japanese contract.

DSP is definitely not going to let go off Kara that easily. Kara is their biggest stars and I expect a long tiring battle ahead. Good Luck to both of them.

Album Review : JYJ The Beginning

A new special post! I'm not really good at reviewing but I just want to some part as a fan to promote album sales. For album review, I will keep it simple and direct without being biased. It's going to be tough so let's see how I faired as a reviewer!

01 Intro



After "Peace and Harmony" there wasn't any lyrics and just rhythm. An intro should prepare you to know what's there to offer and based to that definition...it seem mysterious. I don't know how involve were the member in creating less than a minute intro. I'm not convince that the "Peace and Harmony" was the member voice at all.

02 Ayy Girl (feat Kanye West and Malik Yusef)



The intro made by Malik Yusef was weird "tattooed your name..." I was picturing Jae's tattoo. I like the 1 minute long intro made by the guest Malik Yusef and Kanye West but I prefer it be shorter. I'm immune with Engrish, so I wasn't looking for that. As much I love Micky YooChun, the part where he sang "So cold in the rain Gave my heart in vain" made me cringe. Stop doing that Chunnie! I think Jae did the best in this song. The way he sing is just perfect for this song.

03 Empty



I think this one is my favorite. The composition made perfect for their voices, Junsu sound a little out of place for "Ayy Girl" but he sound good in this. I hate auto-tune but I don't to seem to mind in this song. The part "Let it go" was so spell-blinding and addicting. Overall I like this song a lot.

04 Be My Girl



Yawnn..This song isn't bad just a little boring. The song is nice and has a good feel however it's flat in the emotion part. You want a girl to be yours so you should have some passion in this but it felt like they're just singing it prettily without adding their little touch. I think this song would sound better live. I want the song to feel like they really want the girl, not like feeling emo because they can't have the girl.

05 Still in Love



It started great with the rain sound effect, the almost traditional rhythm and then when Jae part came, still fine but then Jae sing almost murmuring, it was just deepening my spirit because the rhythm was so theatrical but I can't understand what were Jae's singing. I don't think I'll listen this again.

06 I Can Soar



I want this song to be rerecorded. This song, I can understand what Junsu's singing however the vocal should be louder. I was right, as soon I listen the song..I knew there would be back up vocals but it's not strong enough. It's an uplifting song so the vocal should be louder, it could be started with low notes but it has to be gradually louder so you can really soar!

07 I love you (feat Flowsik)


Is it possible to cringe while I like this song. Some parts it was just too much "greasy"! Flowsik's part was awesome, it made the song felt rich with his awesome voice. Take out the excessive "grease", YooChun sounds so sexy and sensual. I love the intro a lot, the rain backdrop with the girl talking. Nice!

08 Be The One



As the end of the album, it's not the best ending. It's kind of forgettable rhythm that doesn't caught my attention. It did leave me a good impression of what to expect on their next album and I hope it will be better.

My overall opinion is that as a fan, I would put this on my list to buy but it's not like on Top 5 must buy. It's a good album but not impressive enough for me to spend my money on. The best song for me is "Empty" and worst is "Still in Love". I'm actually very disappointed with "Still In Love" because it's a great composition but the way Jae sang was simply terrible.

Piggy Dolls Trend

It was surprising that Piggy Dolls was on Twitter Trending after their debut on Music Bank but I guess it's because of the title "Trend" ehehe. I watched their performance live and tweeted right away saying "Piggy Dolls have to be the worst name ever to name a group". It's no brainier that it was a group of overweight member. Buuuttt HAM was skinny! I felt like the name "Piggy Dolls" is an insult..



With the title "Trend", they should toss out those ugly black outfit away! What's with the black sunglasses? Yes, black is slimming but this is black outfit done wrong. This group can still be improve without going to the ballad direction. I dislike the fact that overweight singer always meant they have great vocals which is true but they need song that fits them.

Do I like them? Not much, it's rather pity the way they are marketed. A music style that they could use is similar to Davichi. Davichi music is a ballad with a touch of pop. Piggy Dolls shouldn't be marketed as the next Big Mama.

MPV Review : Secret Shy Boy

Yes, I know I'm really behind in reviewing and I shall be on track because I'm on a holiday for 5 months! ahaha..but I'm trying to keep myself busy soon so this isn't a promise okay? I choose to do this review because I know Secret had a hard time doing this song but I think they pulled it of well. I got to applaud at their determination!

Music


After the do bop do bop part of the intro.. I hate the high pitch part. If it wasn't Secret, I probably stop playing. Thank goodness it was short and Ji Eun voice comes in. Just from the vocals alone I can't tell who's who.. which is why I don't like high pitch voices. I'm glad they didn't use auto-tune for this. I totally didn't expect a rap part but it was nicely done without being awkward in such a lovely bright song.

Level of Likeness : 8/10

Performance


Without looking at the video, I could know who sings. I prefer this a lot more than the recorded version. I don't like the intro much but the guy part was a nice touch to it. I enjoyed this performance thanks to the loud fan-chants! OMG, all the fanboy was awesome! I wished I was there. The choreography is fun and bright, love it!

Level of Likeness : 10/10

Video



Perfect for their theme, the colors were beautiful and lovely. It's a vast difference from the previous single, it good to see variety from them. I wished the storyline was stronger because it seems like it emphasize more on disliking bad boys rather than chasing for shy boy. I want a shy boy to be the main character. The dresses in this video is pretty and lively so this concept is really great for this song.
