HallyuSurfer is created on April 2008 by MimieJay, a multimedia student who enjoys blogging and listening to Kpop. She blogs about mainly her obsession on SuJu but is keeping up with the latest Kpop news to cater for more traffic.
MimieJay goes by HallyuSurfer in this blog. The term Hallyu is derived from the Chinese word "han liu" by the Chinese media to describe the popularity of Korean products in China. Hallyu means Korean Wave, so add with "Surfer" it creates the blog name! MimieJay is indeed a HallyuSurfer because she is not Korean but follow the current news of Kpop world.
In efforts of branding the blog to get more readers, HallyuSurfer has gone through changes to make the site reliable for all readers.
Kpop Section
1. I'm Loving/Hating (title of song)
There's nothing in between, HallyuSurfer gives her honest opinion on the song and decides whether she loves it or hates it. She meant no harm to say "hate" but at least we're clear about it.
2. MWV: Singer's Title of song
MWV stands for Must Watch Video. That itself is self explanatory, it's just a simple post that discusses why you should watch the video. It's typically a song that I want to talk about without reviewing it like "I'm loving/I'm hating" posts.
