SNSD to dominate Japan!

It's finally released! I still prefer the Korean version though since I can speak Korean better than in Japanese but I do like the PV! The single shoots were odd but I guess it's better to introduce them that way. The girls look so different..I almost don't recognize Tiffany! Looks like everybody just get skinny..please take care of your health SNSD. My SooYoung look comfortable..and she should be as she had some experience in Japan.

I really like it's a little different concept. The outfits aren't strictly uniform. I don't like uniforms so yeah..I love this PV.

Baby V.O.X. forever!!

Baby V.O.X. reunites for member Lee Hee Jin's Musical

I do know some of the history regarding Baby V.O.X but honestly I never tried listening to their songs! Does this statement makes any sense? The reason I got to know about Baby V.O.X. is Yoon Eun Hye! She maybe famous for her roles in Goong (Princess Hours) and 1st shop for Coffee Prince, but she debuted as a member of Baby V.O.X.!

Oh yeah, Kpop sure loves their 3 letter abbreviation! 

Ermm..I can't help but to turn mute on this one..I watch it because it's so sweet they're still together! In their times, performance were actually recorded and lip-sync was norm. Now if somebody caught lipsync, it would made headlines!

Baby V.O.X. is quite famous, they even had a group name after them...which I forgot already because seriously, that's not cool. I mean, there's a lot of names out there and you have to copy???

A Rainbow

Kpop is moving really fast these days. I wished I have a remote control for it so I can hit pause button or slow it down. I'm barely keeping up with the new debuts.


Rainbow made a comeback with A. I'm not going to write MPV review of it so this is a preview of what I might give. The reason I don't want to write a review for them because I'm bitter over A'st1 disbandment. I don't want a bad MPV review.



I don't understand the song. It would be helpful if they included a storyline for this MV because I don't know what theme lies in this song. One of the girls had a freaky eye..ergh, it's close to being spooky! The pulling shirt dance is a bit odd in places, is the concept sexy? I might need to see the lyrics to grasp on what were they singing. I don't like the song but I'm curious about the lyrics.

My thoughts on SS501

Was I shocked to know the result? not really, kinda expected it from DBSK situation similarities. Some press claim that they would probably pull a Shinhwa but I doubt it's going to start anytime soon since Kim Hyun Joong is busy with his drama.


I don't know if SS501 is more successful together or not, but one thing for sure Kim Hyun Joong is way popular now. All the best to Kim Hyun Joong, Park Jung Min, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyung Joon. Whatever you do, I hope you can be successful.


I wonder what DSP is going to do..all they got now is Kara and Rainbow. If JangMoon is still on that company, I hope DSP will re-debut him soon! I hate DSP for disbanding A'ST1. All they need is an awesome song..I miss A'ST1 badly.

Drama Discuss : What I'm watching.

It's been a while since I last write Kdrama post. It takes a lot of dedication to write one..mine is just really boring, since I'm not a big fan. Anyway this is just an update of what I'm watching.

The current top drama in Korea, I missed a few episode (stupid decoder) but it's looks interesting. It's a romantic comedy that tells a story of a baker, it has the typical plot of a rich family and poor family. The Bread,Love and Dream is the follow up of Cinderella Stepsister. I didn't like CS because it such a confusing story.. This drama too is a little confusing but it has some familiar plot. I have a big problem with the set of this drama. It felt like it set in a old era of Korea but in some part it's very modern. Their outfits is odd in some place and it's bothering me. I wonder should I think this drama sets in an old era or modern? The main actors line up is interesting, it's my first watching all of them acting except Eugene.

Who would have thought watching ahjumma (married woman) would be this interesting?! This is a SBS drama, so I'm watching this through internet. I wouldn't mind bearing the buffering for this! I wanted to watch this mainly because of the theme, I'm a big fan of any music related drama so I made an effort to watch this. (yes, I hate buffer that much) The main character is played by the lovely Kim Jung Eun, whom I loved in Lovers' in Paris. Hong Ji Min is my favorite guest in Vitamin so I love her already, she's always funny and I have watched her in On Air. I've already watched Jang Shin Young acted for more than three months in the daily drama "The Road Home". Juni is just icing on the cake! I love her acting in Beethoven Virus and Iris, this should mean very good drama then!

Oh btw, did you notice there's TWO Gumiho related drama now? Omg, I don't think I'll be watching neither. I blame it on summer. One is on KBS, story on Gumiho's child and one is from SBS Gumiho's lover...who do I think will win? obviously SBS because Lee Seung Gi..the Mr 70% guy.

MPV Review : BoA Hurricane Venus

The title is rather interesting, who would have thought of "Hurricane Venus"? Before listening to the song, I would interpret it as something that describe her persona. I'm glad she didn't promote Game, I really don't like the song.

Music

After being disappointed with Game, I was surprised that I liked this, it has auto-tune and heavy bass. Probably it's because the combination works? The hook in the chorus is also surprisingly catchy. The lyrics is rather odd but I don't mind it much.

Level of Likeness : 8/10

Performance

It's with Dangerous performance. I wouldn't expect any less from someone called "The Kpop Queen" and BoA deliver it with such excellence! This is the result of 10 years people! Terrific dancer and flawless vocals, (btw, you should really check out the MR removed version) this Kpop at it's best. Welcome back to Korea BoA!

Level of Likeness : 10/10

Video

For BoA is famous for her dance moves, it is a necessary for her to have dancing in her videos. I love her outfit in promotion pictures but not so much on the video, some are just to weird for me. I think the CG effects are rather weak, because you know it's fake. The purpose of having effect is to WOW the audience not to show weakness. I'll stick at looking her performance then.

Random Talk : Language barriers

I'm no professional music critic but basically, a good song has good rhythm, catchy, nice voices and good lyrics right? In my opinion, it's just catchy and good rhythm. I am just a regular listener, just like you. I don't care much about the technical parts of the song apart from the notorious auto-tune.

It suddenly occurs me that I don't exactly understand Kpop. I'm not Korean, remember? There's plenty of translations provided on the internet but I don't go searching for them once a new song released. I don't think it's important for me to search for it because all it matters that I like the song.  In addition to that, most Kpop contains lots of English..I basically could understand the song base on it's emotion.

While watching videos, I don't emphasize that I need to find an English translation. I'd be settle for HD videos and love it. After almost 3 years of loving Kpop, I could understand better in Kpop because I know basic Korean. What else is there to sing about anyway? It's always about LOVE. 

I don't find it weird that I love a song that I barely understand. It may be a wonder that I love Kpop better than local music, but hey.. I've tried. Local music is not for me, I do hope one day Malaysian artiste can gain more attention from fellow Malaysian. It's just not now.

What we need is something different..and please, I really don't mean a Lady Gaga. 

Infinite She's Back

A good MV in my opinion has to have good colors, beautiful scene and especially a good storyline. This MV doesn't have a storyline but I love it. Can you guess why?

It's so adorable! hey, wait..the more I think about it..this MV reminds me of DBSK Picture of You MV! except this is more lively than that. Is that alcohol I see? uuuu..I hope the kids are not underage (wait, I just checked, there's 1993 kid)or maybe it's just non-alcoholic beverage. I love this MV so much because there's a beagle and golden retriever dogs! Dog lovers love this MV!

Mazeltov was okay, it even got good rating from me..All Day Long made me learn their names, Level Up? my goodness.

I felt like they've been reading my blog..LOL. I mean I did wish someone had blonde hair so I could differentiate them. I've also blog about them having too similar hairstyle..but this is way too much of a blonde hair! Hey..maybe they did read my blog! I've compared them to SuJu! This is like SuJu during their Don't Don..

Hate the new song. It's so heavy in term of rhythm I especially hate the sound effect. I do like the choreography though. It looked fun to follow. Come on ZE:A, produce more of All Day Long okay?

Woah Amber

All these while I always thought Amber looked too masculine to be a girl but this picture proofs otherwise. She actually looked pretty for Elle Korea! I think she's wearing pants but don't it look like a skirt? Wait, isn't it a DRESS? Her make up probably soften up her looks. She definitely look like a girl here!

I want to see her act..probably like Park Shin Hye or Yoon Eun Hye style! It would be so interesting to watch her!

Introducing Teen Top

Oh gosh..only today I know that ALL Teen Top members are younger than me. Their age range is 15-18! I thought Dae Guk Nam Ah was the youngest..but oh no, Teen Top is younger!

Where do I search for member profile..obviously from Soompi. I did and erghh..I don't know who the smart person who think those picture would make a good photo for profile! All the faces are sideways and some even covering face up to 70%..so tell me now how should I learn their names?

Similar to ZE:A this boys don't have dramatic style that sets them apart..I guess most of them still in school and drastic changes won't be good? I think Teen Top is easier though..although with very bad camera angle! Let's talk about the name...Yeah for English names! Ricky, L.Joe, (who funnily share name with Lee ByungHun) C.A.P. and Niel. Then there's ChangJo (hemm, I'm worried for this boy..his name is similar to ShinHwa's FC) and ChunJi.

Based on the picture above, from left to right... Niel, L.Joe, C.A.P. Ricky, ChunJi and ChangJo. I hope I'm right! Niel is the one who has a similar voice with JangMoon! thus, he's my favorite. ChunJi looked awfully like Key during performance.

C.A.P. is easy to remember because of his hairstyle..you could spot it easily. ChunJi and L.Joe looked like twins but if you look closely they're different. Ricky and ChangJo needs to cut off their bangs..nothing irritates me more than hair got into the eyes..it's painful!

G.na featuring Thunder of MBLAQ

JunHyung is not in again..but it's okay, we got to see more interesting collaboration! Today is from Thunder of MBLAQ. Thunder isn't the best rapper out there but he's all good. :D

His almost interaction with G.na was awkward and what's with the necktie pulling? LOL Anyway..did anyone notice G.na was smiling in the beginning? I don't know..is she happy that Thunder is going to feature with her or she's happy that there are fans cheering on her? ehehe.

Awesome debut. The best debut from a solo I have ever seen. Umm not counting HyunA because she's a different catergory okay?

Teen Top Infinite

Yeah for collaboration! Teen Top and Infinite join together on today's Music Bank for a summer special. This reminds me of Beast and MBLAQ collaboration! I hope these two groups can be best friends!

I only have one complain..it's too short! I want more!

Kangta and DongHae as judge?

When I read the title I was smiling ear to ear! I was already excited the fact MBC's Infinity Challenges is going to audition for SM Entertainment (you should know by now that it's my favorite company) and now we have two hot guys as judge? Dreams do come true!



Can't wait for this!

I think Kangta would make a good judge since he's like the legendary H.O.T. member and is one of the founder groups in SM Entertainment. He also produce behind the scene a lot so this man is a good choice plus we got to see him in action! As for Donghae...I don't know, I love him but I secretly wished it was ShinDong. At least ShinDong can bring in the laughters. Heck, I actually want the whole Super Junior doing the judge thing. Ahaha that's impossible! It would be cool to see the serious side from the usual bubbly character from idols.

I would love to watch this even more because I got to see the whole thing going on in SM Entertainment! I hope they will do with YG and JYP too..I think YG audition would be extra interesting! I rarely got to see YG in variety shows, (I only watch KBS shows due to lazy to find on internet) plus I've seen SM building a lot of times..I want to see more YG new building!

One Better Day with MBLAQ

I always end up liking the second promoted single, and this is no different. One Better Day is a catchy, lively and bright song that just cheer you up! I like it started with Mir's rap..I also love the fact that CheonDong have both singing and rapping parts!

The performance is so cheerful! I love seeing smiling faces in performance. This a performance I would like to watch when I'm feeling down. :D

Kpopped

Okay this is it. I'm not joining Kpopped.

I check the website everyday and also check my e-mail regularly but I don't see any sign that I might get the position. It's pass 2 weeks and it's safe to say that I'm not joining them. :(

Actually it would be good to just received an e-mail that says I'm not in..I mean, the anxiety kills. ahaha I mean, what if..they didn't received my e-mail? I double-triple check it and I'm very sure it's sent.

Oh well..I still have my blog! I'm not getting much readers per day but I'm happy I have some regular readers. I won't leave this blog, I promise!

Btw, this is the 70th post..that means 30 more post to go! There's no way I can write that much in 2 days! So this mission is a failure. =( It's been a great journey though! My upcoming project only begins on December, "2010 in 31 Days" :D I still have time to plan.

SHINee Lucyfur

I could spell it alright. It's just too much.

Oh my MinHo got injured and thus he had to sit down..regardless he looked Great! I actually like his hair now..clean and simple! Ondubu (Onew) looked awkward...this isn't his style, I prefer him being goofy! TaeMin still looking like a girl..gosh, even now I wished I had his hair. JongHyun looked like he's loving the whole thing..Key, I still can't get used to his hair..

Since Minho camera shoot is really near with him..you could see his expression well and I love it..It's so intense and I definitely feel the emotion he's trying to portray. What I really think they should do is promote a ballad instead. I mean..it's so awkward not seeing Minho together with his team. What's wrong with a good ballad song? I've listen to all their previous singles and there were a lot of ballads..I'm sure this one had a couple of ballads as well.

SHINee evolves every time they made a comeback..I wished they just stick to their debut days concept. I loved Noona Nomu Yeppo..which is my second favorite song by them, first being Romantic.

SM better debut someone do to something different coughballadscough I can't wait for a new debut by SM!!

BoA Game

It's difficult for me to write about BoA..She is known as the Kpop Queen but I know her more as the girl from Korea that become really really famous in Japan. I think I know more of her Jpop than Kpop and I don't know much of her Jpop to begin with.

Maybe it's the wrong timing that I only love Kpop when she's not active. I sort of like her US debut..all the songs are catchy and nice. Just it doesn't spells out Kpop Queen. I was more interested in Utada rather than her.

She's an amazing dancer no doubt and her vocals are good...so why I can't seem to love her? It's a mystery..

Anyway enough about her and me..let's talk about the MV and the song. Disappointing.

Gosh..I'm not impress at all with the frequent outfit changes..worst, nothing appeals to me. It's all weird and weirder. Did I just spot a FUR? lol I hate no storyline MV..she doesn't dance much and that's her forte! Ugly camera angle just made me stop the video halfway..wasn't worth to finish it off.

To all the songwriters of Korea, especially to the producers too...Dance song is not always gold. RnB is lovely too, so is ballads. While I'm at it..please destroy auto-tune! I rather hear real bad voice than freaking auto-tune..yeah I hate that much. *shudders Oh goodness, what with the squeaky voice BoA? That isn't good. I hate this song...better come up with another song to promote because I really can't see this as a No.1 on the chart potential!
