Kpop in 2016 has been quite interesting, the debut of IOI, a girl group formed by Mnet's Produce 101 which see trainees from various companies including JYP. The top eleven trainee debuted and also disband this year had 3 release, Dream Girl, Whatta Man and Very Very Very but the strangely addicting "Pick Me"is the most notable song from the show. In between promotions, Chaeyeon who was already in DIA is the busiest, because she also stars in Drinking Solo did some promotion with DIA. SeJong and Mina debuted with Gugudan (which literally means timetable wtf) and Yeonjung was the SuJu Kyuhyun to WSJN. If the future of the members are reflected on the promotions outside IOI.. I'm afraid it won't be very promising.
SM were quite busy last year but nothing compares to this year rush. Every single week SM released a digital single with SM Station and mind you, that it also has a video. That's a lot of work! I haven't been keeping up with the SM Station releases because I blame it on Kdrama addiction but I love it because it showcase the diversity of SM talent. I think it's something only SM is capable of doing because they are one of the biggest company with many employees. Not only SM Stations were doing well, but also the major comebacks. Every month, there's bound to have one or two SM
artiste doing a comeback or debut.
While I do try to watch music bank every week, I really don't care for the charts anymore because I just don't. Honestly I have yet to hear their songs, but I hope they continue to do well. SMTM5 were a nice surprise, I really did like most of the release, my favorite is of course by Bewhy, Forever is such a cool song and Day Day is a jam.
Without a further due, here is my list. It is based on my preference in KPop..nothing to do
with who is popular or had the most sale.
1. All I Wanna Do - Jay Park
I don't have to look back on my 2015 list because I clearly remembered that my top1 was
Jay Park feat Loco and Gray "My Last". I am so happy that yet again, this year it's Jay
Park topping the list because I really do like his music. All I wanna Do is essentially
the Jay Park. The English version is a lil naughter but fun and the Korean version
is exciting with the addition of Hoody and Loco featuring but the winner is clearly the
part that goes "Unless you're Tinashe".
2. Stay With Me - Jay Park
Jay Park back to back.. I was very close of just putting all of his songs on "Everything
You Wanted" album on this list.. I could but that's not entirely how I felt. I instantly
love this song. I just had to put this on the list and no.2 seems right. I love when he
strips down (pun intended) and just sang without any gimmicks. Jay Park knows what
the public likes and he's good at delivering his songs.
3. Don't Forget - Crush feat Taeyeon
On my half year list, this was the no.1. I still love it even it was released in early this year
when it's still cold. Now that winter is coming, I feel like the song is still fresh. Crush
also recently released Fall (aptly during fall) and I like it but Don't Forget is still
a gem among all of his song. I hope that Crush will continue making great songs.
4. D (Half Moon) - Dean feat Gaeko
On paper, I don't think I would like Dean's music, I for one, really dislike adding sound effects
to songs because it's noise not music. leave it to Dean to make me like his music. Would it
be an exaggeration to call him a music genius? Perhaps so..but that's how I feel whenever I
listen to his songs. Dean wants his song to be like a story and he certainly accomplished that.
I can't wait for his future released. He had a pretty good year, and I hope he continues to
flourish.
5. Why - Taeyeon
Among all of the idols out there, Taeyeon certainly tops the list of idols that public want a
solo released. She does it incredibly well. I like that she trys different kind of concept
for her comeback. Why is my favorite, it maybe the most idol-like but I have the feeling that
this is the song that she personally really loves.
6. Monster - EXO
The thing about EXO is that they are super duper famous that they can just sing whatever and it's
a gurantee to win no.1 because of the power fandom. Didn't quite like Lucky Ones or Lotto, don't know if it was coincident but I didn't like Love me right last year...Yup let's conclude that if EXO release a song titled with an "L" I might not like it. Monster is perhaps my favorite EXO release so far. I love it from the moment I heard the first beat. I normally don't like sound effect but it adds richness to the song.
7. Tell Me What is Love - Yoo Young Jin feat D.O.
If Yoo Young Jin was a little prettier, maybe SM will make him into an idol but thank God that didn't happen because songs like this don't need no idol... I mean sorry D.O. but Yoo Young Jin was a clear winner if this was a battle. I look forward for the next release!
8. Woo Hoo - Mamamoo
Okay this is going to make me feel slightly embarrass as a Moomoo.. I didn't know that they already released the song in the summer! I hope it at least did charted somehow? yup, I'll be googling later. My review of this song is posted before this post. :D
9. All Mine - f(x)
Only Luna (which btw is my pup name!) promote this year but if there's any song I really wanted to see being perform from the SM Station was this song. I enjoyed the summery song and I love how happy the girls looked on the MV. Hopefully by 2017 we will see a better and gorgeous f(x) back!
10. Save ME - BTS
The song genre is just trendy for 2016, I think a lot of songs charted on Billboard has similar flair. I still love this song the most out of all the songs they released this year and I hope they will release songs that have a similar vibe to this song.
11. Try - Jimin
What would it be like if Jimin decided to join SM or YG instead? Maybe not YG, because YG is
master of delays, SM probably would let her have more songs out. I know the Jimin adores her
JYP Nation but damnit, JYP is sleeping on her talent. Her mini album is so good. I like every
single song. I wished she had more promotion than Twice. Let us fan see her perform more often!
I think her personality is good for TV, but I don't really like her stint in ASC. She's not
a good MC. She often mumbles her words and have awkward pauses. I don't know if she's better
now but she is born to be a singer. There's no doubt about that.
12. TT - Twice
Obviously Twice is an attractive group but their talent has always been debatable. If any,
I think their best talent is timing. I have no idea why are they so fascinated with zombies
and cosplay but it just works. Cheer Up was the biggest hit of 2016 but I cannot bring myself
to admit to like the song because let's be honest that the song is messy. "sha sha" was cute
but that was it. TT is a recycle of their previous concept but the timing was perfect. They
released the adorable video near halloween and I love it. I don't care for Halloween but the
song is the best they have released so far. I just feel odd seeing Sana being brunette. I'm
so used to seeing her as blonde. I don't know if it's the JYP thing but JYP artiste always had
the same formula. Why can't JiHyo start? Why is it always Nayeon? Why do they always make the
foreigners stands out the most?
13. Tell Me What to Do - SHINee
Whenever I think of SHINee.. I feel old because they remind me of my early days as a kpop fan
but I was not expecting them to go retro! 1 of 1 isn't a bad song.. it matched the group but
I thought SM loves EDM stuff and SHINee does well with trendy songs so I was sad because View
was awesome, I wanted something similar. Thankfully they returned with Tell Me What To Do.
Only if they didn't make Minho rap, this song might charted higher. Sure, Minho has improved
a lot, but it was bad in this song. He is the reason why idol rappers received so many crap.
I can just pretend that part never exist. I love MinHo the most. Don't kill me for saying
the truth.
14. Whatta Man - IOI
When I first saw the title, I thought it sound outdated because no one really uses Whatta anymore.
I was right because it's somewhat a cover of an 80's song. This updated version sounded fresh and
it was the right concept for the girls. Although the members are quite young, they don't seem to
do cute concept well. I would love to see YeonJung, Chaeyeon, Mina and Sejong perform this song but at last.. I don't think it would happen.
15. Shut up and Groove - Heize feat Dean
Dean was so lovable with Taeyeon in the Starlight MV, people be shipping them two but not me. I
ship Heize and Dean. I think both of them have a similar vibe and style. Both of them can get
crazy experimental together.. Can you see Taeyeon sing this song? nope. This is song is totally
Dean experimental style and Heize is the queen of this song.
16. The Truth is - Jay Park
Lyrics are painfully witty and the song is catchy. It's Jay Park, what's not to love? I know 3 songs in one list seems a lot and I feel a bit guilty for showing too much bias but this my blog, let me have my way! lol
Special mention Taeyeon's 11.11 Fanxy Child (Zico, Crush DEAN) Bermuda Triangle. Love these two song but I am not obsess enough to include into the list because it's fairly new.
Happy New Year!

Mamamoo Memory Review
It's been a while since I last wrote a Kpop album review! I hope to write at least one more before the year ends...if schedule permits. :P
Mamamoo is one of the groups that I always anticipate because they have talent to pull off any genre with their own twist. This album is perhaps my favorite.
01. 그리고 그리고 그려봐
If it wasn't for Christmas being around the corner, I probably wouldn't have gone past the first minute. I don't like songs that felt super slow. This song from the first beat is reminisce of Christmas, a song that I might play when it's still dark outside in the morning or just before bed time in Christmas eve because the song felt like longing for Christmas. I wish they would opt for a simple narration instead of a rap, I felt like it spoilt the flow of the song.
02. Decalcomanie (데칼코마니) *Title
Mamamoo title track has a signature sound indeed. I don't think I have to check who sing the song if I heard this song in the radio. I wish they would do something different for the next promotion because I do believe they got the talent to do so. If you haven't already check out their performance in Blue Dragon Awards, Please do, it's definitely one of their best performance yet, very witty and still sound amazing. Definitely only something Mamamoo can pull off!
03. NEW YORK
I probably should to see the translation of this song because it got me wondering why so many songs as made for New York? The song is theatrically reminisce of Broadway. I don't really fancy this song but the production is good. Perhaps New York people (I don't know the term) would appreciate the song better
04. Moderato (Feat. Hash Swan)
I saw Hash Swan name and immediately squeal inside because I think Hash Swan should have advance further in SMTM5. His rapping style is just refreshing to hear and his excution was just great. The intro of this song is so mesmerising. My favorite part when they sing-rap together. It was perfection. The song tempo and beat feels outdated... like early 2000s vibe? I don't hate it because familiarity is always welcome.
05. Angel
This is a duo single for Whee In and Solar. This song is not bad but got me teary...as in bored. By the first verse over.. I badly want to hit Next button. This song doesn't really showcase their singing talent. In fact any other decent singer could have sing this song just fine. Whee In and Solar can do way better than this
06. DAB DAB
The intro is already begging me to hit Next. I hate the music so much. Minus the Rhythm, perhaps I would have like the song but I don't think it would changed my mind too much; Hwasa voice is amazing in this song. I think she should consider doing more musical work. I think she would fit perfectly in a theatre production
07. 놓지 않을게
I adore this song so much! I think they should have promote this song instead! It fits the winter feel right now. I want to see them perform this song! The song is sweet like honey, from the limited Korean understanding, I think the lyrics are pretty too. I can listen to this song all day. I love you too Mamamoo~!
08. 기대해도 좋은 날
This song is such a 90's throwback. This is my favorite song of the album. That intro always makes me going. Another song that I would like them to perform..except the song is kinda summery feel to it, so I think if they released this song in the summer, it would hit daebak! Even the title would fit the summer. I don't know the official translation, but basically it meant "Waiting/Expecting a good day"
I would continue to listen, number 4, 7 and 8. I probably would watch the main title track performance but I don't really enjoy the song. The rest isn't my favorite genre.

Weekend drama Check In
I'm currently watching both SBS Our Gabsoon and KBS Wolgyesu Gentlemen Tailor Shop (hereby known as Laurel Tree Tailor) which are weekend drama that typically have 50 episode. I'm currently at 30+ episode and I just want to a quick post on what my impression so far.
I don't have a preferrence.. I just watch both drama without any insight. I'm familiar with the setups of big family, a bit of surprise here and there but nothing too extreme. Just enough to keep being interest going.
Our Gabsoon got me pulling my hair.. not literally because I love my hair. I think the drama is trying to push all of my buttons. I have zero empathy for Gabsoon's mother. I think Go Duk Sim is a lovely actress but somehow she plays all the types of mom I like to hate. I just want to stop her for being so ego. The aunt is the worst character in the drama. Why does family drama like to make the aunts the worst?? Gabdol was a jerk but slowly he's better now or I would have drop the drama.. I wouldn't want to continue watching the drama if he wouldn't change. Gabsoon looks promising now too and I hope she continues with her small business. I want people to change their bias against cleaners. They are doing a noble job.. no need to take pity on them.
I'm particularly holding on for this drama for Lee Wan charactrer to get better. I want something more from him because I think he can do better than this. He is too much in the background. I also rooting for JaeSoon to be happier. She's a great person, I wish people would appreciate her more. She's too good to be left out.
Lee Dong Guk and Jo Yoon Hee couple is the most boring couple right now and because they are the main couple, I have to suffer through their scene a lot. I skipped all of their scenes. My favorite couple is "Ah Choo" couple lol. I find it funny whenever Lovelyz song Ah Choo is being played. Hyun Woo is such a cutie pie. I really hope HyoSang and Ji Yun would break up because I don't want Ji Yun and Hyun Woo to be in an awkward position.
Right now the drama is hinting that Ra Miran character might be sick (I haven't watched the latest episode yet). I hope they wouldn't go into that route. I don't want to be emotional! She's the boss of making the show fun! I think the grandparents are the cutest old couple.
I hope both of the dramas don't try too hard and just stay as it is.

Reply 1994 review
Last year, I watched Reply 1988 which was my first Reply series, then I watched 1997 in October and obviously I had to complete it by watching 1994 as well. Finally I completed it! It feels good to complete a series but I feel sad that it's over..or is it? Add me on the list of people waiting for Reply 2002 to happen. It has to happen because everyone in Korea really love soccer and it's the biggest happy event in the country.
I took a while to come up with this post because I had a bit of a writers block and now, my memory is a bit hazy..also because I fast forward a lot. I know it's for the sake of being nostalgic but one of the reason I feel Reply series feels draggy because of the narration that I didn't care about. I just think it's could be shorter. It's like hearing my grandparents' story and you want them to just get into the point. Sorry, I'm just an impatient person.
Reply 1994 is probably my favorite. although I'm more familiar with 1997 culture..it being new and I had a bit of an age by then.. I thought I feel 1994 evokes more nostalgic factor. I think the friendship in the series is really cute. My favorite character, Haitai is unexpectedly charming. I love when he baby-sat Sook Sook. It was such an adorable sight.
The characters in this drama uses nicknames and whenever they try to reveal the real name, it got interrupted. It was hilarious. I always anticipate on how they were going to cover up the real name! Is Joon name really that popular? 4 of the 5 males had "Joon" in their name. Wait, even Najung's brother had "Joon" in his name.
For this drama, I love the friendship between housemates more than the love lines. I didn't think the husband hunting game was particular fun.. Maybe because I already knew but I thought it was pretty obvious. Chilbong is just sweet. I'm obsess with Yoo Yeon Seok these days. Sseureki is not exactly trashy. haha I'm not weirded out by his trashy action at all. okay maybe a tiny bit.

My Wife is Having an Affair This Week Review
I was totally turn off by the long title but I don't think it's quite direct. I was so sure I wasn't going to write a review, I only will write a review after I completed the drama and it's not longer than 2 days from completion. I didn't think I would go past episode 4.
After On the Way to the Airport, (another long title!) I was going to swear off from watching affair theme drama because I don't see the point of watching drama uncomfortably. Affairs are uncomfortable, and I honestly skip all the scenes that made me feel uncomfortable in this drama. Even though the drama has parts I don't like, I enjoyed the drama.
I like the setting of the drama, it reminiscent of a Manga I read years ago, Densha Otoko and this drama is actually a Japanese remake.
Do Hyun Woo (Lee Sung Kyun) read his wife Jung So Yeon (Song Ji Hyo) texts, indicating an affair is about to happen in a week. He was in a deep dilemma on how to handle the situation and embarrassed to confide to his friends. In a wimp, he posted his story online and get advice from the online users.
We got to see the glimpse of the users and I thought it was interesting because I am online a lot and I read feedback almost religiously. I don't have a picture to the strangers online that give comments. I always assume that it's an Asian American, early 20s and female unless they actually describe themselves. I like that the variety of people who supported "Toycrane" (Do Hyun Woo online ID) are coming from various walks of life.
The side story of Eun Ah Ra ( Ye Ji Won) and serial cheater, Choi Yoon Ki (Kim Hee Won) is either satisfying or brutally honest. I'm quite scared to see the calamity of Ahra because you know that she's a true badass.
The couple that made me like the drama so much is Ahn Joon Young (Lee Sang Yeob) and Kwon Bo Young (BoA). The couple is adorable and I like the dynamic bickering between the two. I think their relationship progression is quite realistic for couple that has gone through storms.
At 12 episode, it may seem short but I think it's a good compact episode without the need to fast forward any part. If affair makes you uncomfortable, feel free to skip the affair part and just watch what goes through the Do Hyun Woo mind. Unlike OTWA, I do think I will watch the show again in the future because I think the minor characters makes the drama special.
I might try to find the Japanese version to compare.

Bermuda Triangle - Zico feat Crush & Dean
Just seeing their name alone gave me chills because I am that excited to hear about this collaboration. I really wanted to see how I would react and I filmed myself reacting to the video and the whole video got me in awe and I was just basically speechless. Props to you reaction youtubers for being so vocal. I got no talent at reacting.
The video has a lot of element and the concept fits them like a glove. I love the directing, the lighting and the effects were on point. Zico sure know what concept matched him well. The video is essentially a typical hip hop video but in a good way. The set locations are interesting, although I wished they didn't do it in the church. Outside fine, not in the church! I cannot fathom that the song had swear words and they be singing it in the church. Church is a holy space..better watch out that language sir!
Zico, Dean and Crush had the own distinct musical style and each style worked so well together in the song. I'm pretty sure the 3 of them actually full participated on the song. My favorite is obviously Dean. He be rocking that Man Bun like no other and he SANG the song like he mean it.
I know this is mean to the BBC but Zico ought to ditch Block B and just formed a trio with Crush and Dean. This should happen more often and not be the last.
Go Watch it on the official Youtube to support. In the mean time, I'mma do the same.

Kpop News
2016 has been quite overwhelming. From news of member taking a break due health problem to groups disbandment, thankfully we have good music to console us.
Jeong Hyung Don recently returned on Weekly Idol after suffering from panic disorder and some idols suffers the same predicament. Bang Yong Guk, leader of B.A.P is noticeably absent on "Skydive" promotion that is currently going on. Crayon Pop also missing it's maknae Soyul who has shocked the Kpop world by announcing her upcoming marriage to Legendary group H.O.T. leader Moon Hee Jun. Winner EXIT concept modelled after Big Bang's MADE is currently on hiatus due to member Nam Tae Hyun reportedly suffered Panic disorder. However this week YG shocked the fans with official announcement that Nam Tae Hyun would be leaving the group.
In the same day 2NE1 is officially disbanded, Past member Minzy left the group early and the time YG release a statement that the group will continue as trio. However that comeback never happen. With the addition of the new maknae, Heo Young Ji that was selected from a project, other Kara members did not re-sign with the company and hence the group disbanded. Although never announced officially disbanded, looking at DSP history, it is unlikely and also unfortunately it would be the same fate with the group Rainbow.
Although their friendship seems the closest among all the other idol groups, 4 Minute officially disbanded due to the lukewarm response on their last promotion. HyunA is the sole member with the company. Cube is not having the best year because Beast minus Jang Hyun Seung is leaving the company. Beast members are currently trying to emulate Shinhwa's path. Beast return as 5 members were positively receive and I am hopeful that they could return successfully with or without a new name because Cube owns the name.
Jia of Miss A also left the group this year, currently Miss A is said to remain as a 3 member group which has yet to happen... Fei did debut as a solo this year but the response were cold because of the controversial statement in her SNS. Speaking of SNS, Tiffany made a stupid mistake twice on Instagram that receive a huge backlash that made her went into hiatus.

1% of Something (2016) review
And now the Ha Suk Jin withdrawal will commerce. T_T
When the drama premiered, Drinking Solo was still on so I thought I though I might drop the drama because I don't want to feel like Jin Jung Seok is cheating on Park Hana because hilariously, Jeon So Min cameo on Drinking Solo...Unfortunately Park Ha Sun did not cameo back in 1% of Something. Like I waited.. I waited for it. Boohoo writers!
1% of Something is the remake of 1% of Anything which stars Kang Dong Won (his only drama) which I didn't watch then. I started fresh but I did mid way research on it. I was shocked to find out that the drama had 25 episodes! but this 2016 version only had 16 episode and is quite short (35-49mins)
Personally, I don't think remakes are a good idea but this one works because of the main lead being very cute. I like how easy it is to watch the drama. Ha Suk Jin just matches with anyone. Both of his character is very similar but the way they love is different so I didn't have a problem watching both dramas at the same time. Kinda like watching twins? haha
I'm so sad that there's no more Ha Suk Jin,,, at one point, I was watching Ha Suk Jin 4 days straight. Drinking Solo is on Mon-Tue slot while 1% of Something is on Wed-Thu. I watched quite a lot dramas this year.. and I'm surprised that apart from Ha Suk Jin and JinJoo (the actress who acted in Jealousy Incarnate) I don't know the rest of the cast. I'm not familar with the elder actors as well.
For OTP shippers, this is a great drama. SOOOO MANY SKINSHIP. Not complaining but I'm bitter that Drinking Solo didn't have the same...ya know? It's tvN!
Kinda like watching twins? haha

On the Way to the Airport review
I never thought I would end up writing this post. I was so sure I'm just going to take a peek and drop it around episode 4. I didn't like it was about affair and the main sponsor of the drama. Affairs drama is uncomfortable.. what if they had superb chemistry together? How am I going to ship it? I don't like the idea of romanticising affair.
However.. I was drawn to the drama because I wondered how they were going to depict Malaysia in a Korean drama setting and I am amazed they make KL looks so good. The warm tone of the scenery make everything look good.
The biggest reason I'm watching is of course Lee Sang Yoon. He should play autumn drama more because when I think of warm person, he immediately comes to mind and autumn is a bit chilly. I thought his character in this drama is kinda like him the most...I don't know about the affair part haha.
I find it interesting that Kim Ha Neul first drama after marriage was this drama. I guess, she felt like she is sort of cheating with her husband lol. This is just work. I thought she did well but I am not the biggest fan of her character.
I was hoping they wouldn't made the partners such bad person but unfortunately it was the case. I felt like I want no additional reason but because they love the other person. The mystery surrounding the mother daughter relationship were draggy but it made me stayed. It was not as shocking as I would had prefer.
I don't think I would find myself watching this drama another round.. I have not come around to finish the drama. I have two episode left. which amaze me that I actually come that far.
The scenery of the drama is one of the best I've seen. I would remember the drama as a drama that looks really pretty.

Drinking Solo Review
After the success of Let's Eat series, Kdrama fans has been buzzing about wanting a drama of a drinking version because of Korean drinking culture. For me, who isn't a drinker welcome to the idea because I thought it would be good for me, I won't have a craving. I'm not easily influenced but I hate the idea of being hungry so Let's Eat was a bit hard for me to watch. Drinking Solo is more focus on the namesake title..not so much like Goo Dae Young food trivia explanation which I was hoping..but I enjoyed Jin Jung Seok's rules of enjoying Drinking Solo
Jin Jung Seok (Ha Suk Jin) has a nickname that fits his real given name, Jin Sang (which means jerk). High Quality Trash because although he has good skill and good looks, his personality is pure trashy. Despite his action, I never come around to hate him. He is the first jerk character I didn't hate hahaha clearly I love Ha Suk Jin.
Drinking Solo isn't all about the culture of drinking but it's also a story on the people living in Noryangjin. My first though of Noryangjin is the famous seafood market because if you search for places of interest in Seoul, Noryangjin Seafood Market is in the list. I had no idea that it's the place where young hopeful go to study to pass civil exam for employement. It felt like receiving a bonus because I love stories on youth. The dorm life, the friendship and how it's actually really hard to concerntrate on studies is so relatable. I'm sure the Korean working adult might feel nostalgic to watch the drama.
The professor story line was unexpectedly good. I didn't expect to know so much effort
is put on for a class. Maybe I didn't have the right lecturers before. my lecturers simply read text from a book, very monotonuosly haha. I really thought that I paid so much for a lecturer to read from a book loudly.
Key did so well in this drama and his catchphrase was a runaway hit. Usually the phrase "heol" is more popular but after this drama, everyone is going "ddirori". It's such a fun catchphrase, I'mma use this catchphrase whenever I see Key. Gong Myung is as usual a lovely character and I hope to see him grow into a leading actor someday but it's nice to see him going at his own phase. Chaeyeon is kinda iffy for me. I don't know if she's good actress or not but I thought that she wasn't annoying unlike that idol in Cinderella.. I hope her next drama, she would smile more often because she looks the prettiest when she's smiling. She has her own catchphase too but I don't think it would catch on.
Prof Min imitation brought a lot of expectation and it was really fun. I would definitely sign up for his class although his subject is only elective because I think having fun in class is important too. His story was sad, I can't believe the hospital inform the sad news through a telephone call.. He is my ideal type, I like that he is such a caring person. I definitely would not sign up for Prof Hwang class though. Her pronunciation is really bad, I can ignore the accent but the pronunciation is a no no. I love her honest personality but she is an English professor, she should at least be decent in English.
I wanted Prof Park to prove herself worth... I don't think drama do her justice on this aspect. I wished she would get a full attendance on her class by the end of the drama but sadly that didn't happen. I am not satisfied on her character. That open ending on her relationship was boring. Give me something better next time.
A lot of viewers are hopeful that there would be a season 2, I don't really think it would happen. If it does, I hope we will at least get the trio friends back in the drama. I think the Prof stories have ended for me, I'm quite satisfied at their stories. Ha Seok Jin did great but what is there more to add on his story? I'd like to be surprise but I do not want it to be like Let's Eat 2. That would make me upset.
I have to note that one of the Assistant PD in the drama commit suicide recently. I hope he rest in peace.

Jealousy Incarnate Review
Jealousy Incarnate is a drama of it's own kind. It's not like any other Korean drama I have ever seen in the past. In short, I would describe the drama as "Lovable Crazy". As crazy it might sound, I can't help but to tune it and enjoy the drama.
If I didn't watch the drama, rely only on short recaps, perhaps I would feel that the drama is horrible. It's after all, feature a really annoying main lead character to the extreme. Is it the power of Jo Jung Seok, I honestly don't know but he makes Lee Hwa Shin swoon worthy. Call it bad boy appeal but he is the guy you are told to avoid.
Gong Hyo Jin is staying true to her nickname "Gong-vely" is very charming and she basically can paired up with anyone and it just works. She is a bit frustrating in the drama with her indecisiveness.. Heck the drama is filled with indecisive people that use all means to get things they want. The family relationship is unconventional. Mix of various families that would rival weekend drama.
Speaking of which, at 24 episode.. this drama was not draggy. it felt like it was meant to be. I first got to know that it was 24 episode at 6 episode in. I was worried it would feel too draggy because I think 16 is a good number but now I think it's just perfect.
I do wish Go Jung Won and Hong Hye Won would get a happy ending instead of just disappearing in thin air.. there isn't much closure for my two favorite characters. I'm used to Go Jung Won kind of character and I will continue to like the nice guy but can we talk about how hot is Seo Ji Hye as Hong Hye Won? I'm so dead. I can't decide which voice I prefer, Seo Ji Hye or Go Kyung Pyo.. let me have them both. I want more characters like Hong Hye Won.. between her and Kang Yina from Age of Youth.. this year winner for best girl crush is a tie. Maybe HyeWon wins just slightly.
There is a lot to digest from this crazy drama but I don't want to risk spoilers. It's fun but it may not appeal to everyone. I do think there's something to look forward for everyone though. There's a lot laughs to share, thoughts to pounder and some tear jerking scenes.
Watch it like how I did, just throw logic behind and watch without thinking too much.

Flower Boy Next Door Review
When I was looking for older dramas to watch, I tend to choose based on actors and this drama
has everyone that I like. I think this drama is what they would call a drama that is ahead of
time because all the cast are quite trendy this year. Yoon Shi Yoon is on 2 Days 1 night,
Park Shin Hye recently was on Doctors that had the highest rating on it's timeslot, Go Kyung Pyo
is currently on Jealously Incarnate and Kim Ji Hoon is one of my favorite actors.
Go Dok Mi (Park Shin Hye) is a writer that works from home and spend most of her time indoors
due to a past trauma. Whenever her part of the drama comes on, I feel like it's a melodrama because she's always in such a gloom mood. Enrique Geum/Kkae Geum (Yoon Shi Yoon) is the opposite of Go Dok MI, a bright and sometimes quite obnoxiously friendly is genius game producer who grew up in Spain. Just across Dok Mi's apartment, Kkae Geum's cousin Han Tae Joon lives in an apartment close enough for Dokmi to peer info from the window.
Dokmi thought that their meeting was a fateful one, she met Tae Joon by chance in the park and when she moves into her current apartment, she thought it was fate that he lives across from her. Go DokMi peeps from her window everyday to see Han Tae Joon way of living everyday. One day, Kkae Geum visited his cousin and noticed immediately that Dokmi has been staring at the house. Furious, he went straight to her apartment to catch her red handed and that was the start of their relationship.
I try to avoid reading synopsis of the drama and usually just read a short reviews without spoilers about the drama because I want to watch the drama without any expectation. Good reviews is just a guide to avoid bad dramas because no one should waste time watching bad dramas right? hehe. However while watching this drama, I felt like I would have not watch the drama because I think the drama is quite predictably boring. I wished Oh Jin Rak (Kim Ji Hoon) is the lead character instead. I know opposite do attract but a kind character that is so similar to the female lead is more suitable. Suddenly I'm reminded of She Was Pretty..but even then, I did prefer Park Seo Joon over SiWon, I mean I am a fan of Siwon but Hwang Jung Eum had more chemistry with Park Seo Joon then.
The trauma part was a little underwhelming, I don't quite think it fits on making her wanting to isolate herself to the world. I somehow wished it was something more. The mystery part of the story is also hardly something I looked forward to know more. This drama is watchable but I don't find myself curious. I don't think I'll watch this drama again in the future. I loved the cast, but the writing is just plain. I have to give props to the sets/location. The rooms and location is really good. I am amaze it look very realistic. Somehow Korean drama sets looks very bare and kinda like showroom, but not this drama. I thought the Webtoon artiste room is the most realistic look. It's has a lot of book (I presume for reference) and cloths are everywhere. It actually looks like they do live there.

Reply 1997 Review
Watching the drama, I wonder how would it feel like watching it live back in 2012. I wasn't a big Kdrama fan back then, I would just watch whatever I like on KBS or SBS channel and that was it. I do know that this drama was such a big hit and everyone is talking about it.
I have watch some clips here and there but I don't know the story apart from 1997 top stories. I'm a big Kpop fan so I naturally know about the history of how Kpop first started. Sech Kies is now reunited (minus one member) so I feel like watching this drama to reminisce.
Busan accent is the best! I really need to study more on Korean geography, I think it's the Gyeongsang do dialect? Anyway, if I'm talking to my dogs, it sound weird now because I mixed with some satoori. Yup, I do speak Korean to my dogs. haha
Is the reply series all about the husband search? I though this one was sort of weak. I didn't really have to wait till the last episode to find out who was the husband. I thought 1988 was quite interesting one. I have yet to see 1994 but I already know who is the husband so I might just watch to see Sung Dong Il and Lee Il Hwa.
If I were to put myself in this drama, I would probably be Yoo Jung, not the fact I'm brazen with guys but the fact I can't pick a side. But I would probably like H.O.T better because I'm quite loyal like ShiWon.
The Yoon Brothers story is very fantasy like. I can't help but to roll my eyes whenever their achievements are mention. Especially the older one. Actually I can't believe that he would like ShiWon at all. It's kind of wrong is so much level. The fact he is her sister former boyfriend, her teacher and the age difference is just too much..
I'm glad that TaeWoong had a good relationship in the end though.
It definitely feels different to watch it today because I already know what would happen and the hype isn't there anymore but I felt like time spent on watching the drama is worth it. It was fun to see the family relationship and the close friendship is endearing.
I love all the meta jokes and like how I know most jokes. I guess that's one of the good thing to watch it now? if I watch back in 2012, perhaps I wouldn't get it.
Let's Eat Review
I'm doing things backward. Hahaha. I watched Let's Eat 2 first then this one. I thought it would feel awkward..but it wasn't.
Here's a weird fact, I don't watch anything older than 2/3 years because of the phones they used. I find it cringe worthy to watch older model phones although it's really not much different. I watched Reply 1997 (will do the review next) and hated to see the old phones. I don't know why it bothers me so much than it should. Speaking of which.. I think starting from last week, Samsung is retracting the Note 7 PPL from dramas, now it's Samsung S7 edge. Looks like lucky no.7 didn't work on Samsung. Who's bright idea it is to skip no. 6 then?
I am not a foodie at all but I do like facts, similar to Let's Eat 2, I skipped all the eating part and just focus on the food facts and the stories. I prefer this storyline because like Jin Yi, it is my dream to live alone. I have a similar suspicious syndrome like Lee Soo Kyung so I relate a lot to her character. I like that she's a nice but smart person! like finally a nice character that is smart.
Barassi is the perfect drama dog. I'd replay his scene a lot because he was so adorable. I like that he is a character own it's own instead of a decoration. Goo Dae Young never changed huh? He is really friendly and I wished I know someone like him. The side characters are fun yet realistic.
Jin yi might be the closest to be unrealistic character because she's so nice and bright but who could hate her? She's such a bubbly character and I love that she gives that good vibe in the drama. If we have more characters like Jin Yi in this world, I definitely think the world would have less depression.
The romance game in this drama isn't strong. It's cute but I don't come for the romance. I just enjoyed the friendship between neighbours and how they live their lives alone. I liked Let's Eat 2 but this original one is why Let's Eat 2 exist so I do prefer this drama better.

Cinderella and 4 Knights Review
Meets my expectation.
Except that my expectation was nothing.
Haha. bad joke, I'm sorry.
I'm well into a Kdrama addiction that I watched anything remotely interesting to me. I thought I was going to slow down watching drama but my resolution in 2016 was to watch more Kdrama.. Can I say best resolution I have ever made in my life? Sad but fun nevertheless.
I was mildly interested about the glitz and glamour. I grew to like the secretary so I stayed for him. I think I lost because he got little part. hah. I wish he had a bit of a love story. like anything! Why call it 4 Knights then???
I'm gonna sound pretty mean so skim through this paragraph. I don't get NaEun's appeal at all. She's not ugly but I don't feel she's pretty? Especially so in acting. For the love of Kdrama and Kmovies.. Please Naeun, stick acting to your A Pink music video and nothing else. I don't think I want to see you improved. I wished they would switch the step sister to play Hyeji role instead because she is a better actress.
The conflict in the drama is predictable and the medical part in the drama apparently is very flawed. Hmm well Kdrama...
Overall I think it's not going to be the drama I will think from time to time and possibly forget I ever watch it. The most memorable part is the fact that HyeJi is such an annoying character. If only the writing could be better. I hope it won't deter Park So Dam from doing drama. She's a good actress and I love seeing her on screen (more so than Kim Go Eun)

Jay Park Appreciation post.
Jay Park has been releasing all this English track and I'm loving it. He sounds great either in Korean and English but I get really excited for the English track more because I can understand the song instantly.
All I wanna Do
This song is such a feel good song. I imagine my self playing the song at the yacht or beach because of the fun vibe. However the lyrics though are not kids friendly at all. I don't mind it, because it's in true Jay Park essence and he is that kind of guy to sing such song. This song is also my current ringtone to tell you how much I love the song. I still get a kick out of it whenever my phone rings because while the part I have as a ringtone is pretty tame, the song is explicit. All I wanna Do is be Tinashe so I can hangout with the hommies at their section. hahaha
I Don't Disappoint
Another sexy song by Jay Park and as the lyrics goes "expect nothing but the best from me" this song definitely won't disappoint if you're looking for a song that sets you into that special mood. *winks. The song is just full of the sexy vibe and Jay Park level of confidence is through the roof. He isn't shy at all to admit all this in the song. For me, the song does sound a little too sleazy in some parts because of his intentional singing technique but the song itself is body roll goodness.
Aquaman
When I first saw the title, I get apprehensive. I wasn't sure this was going to be the vibe I'll like. I was wrong. The song is very chill and breezy, I guess perfect for the beach festival? I don't know because I'm an introvert. lol The lyrics are actually cringe worthy. My expression when hearing the lyrics is like I just tasted lemon.
"Let me call you mama, cause we about to make a baby"
and
"Before I go put it in, let me go down underwater just like a fish"
erm yeah. I find the lyrics too much. It's like knowing his style so figuratively, it makes me blush. I do like the song though and I ashamed to say that I can't exactly stop myself from listening it.
Me like Yuh
I'm not quite familiar with this English version because I listen to the Korean version that feature Hoody more than this one. This song doesn't sound like the usual R&B sound, this leaning towards EDM genre. I used to dislike the genre for the unnecessary sound effect but lately I don't mind. Maybe that's Dean influence on me. He likes to play around with sound effects a lot so I just somehow got used to EDM. That being said.. I don't fancy the song as much. Not that it doesn't suit Jay Park, I just felt like the song is just trendy and AOMG is probably experimenting. I think it is great that musician make an effort to dabble into other genre. Music is more than just being stuck to one genre.

Dropped dramas
I normally never want to drop a drama but sometimes I just can't get a drama like others and I don't want to feel like I'm forcing myself to watch anymore,
I may pick up the drama later but for now, I'll just say I'm dropping it. This post will contain spoiler as an explanation why I dropped it.
1. Lucky Romance
Just couldn't get around finishing this drama. I want to love this drama because of Hwang Jung Eum but I don't feel excited for the new episode.. I find myself trying to distract myself while watching the drama. I think I got 4 episode left so this isn't hard to pick up but i'm just not feeling it.
2. Uncontrollably Fond
I got busy..so I put drama on hold but oh gosh.. This drama is stuck in the 90's in a bad way.. Can melodrama make a good comeback somehow? Actually I read the spoiler about having amnesia and i just cannot continue after that. I saw the trailer and preview being all lovey dovey so I was like "Where is that scene and why we don't get more of that?" Fine, kill him but at least give me less angst and more about youthful love. And they just kill him. To be honest I stayed for the dog and they give us less of that.. Also 4 episode left
3. W
Just not my kind of drama.. Can't help that I don't care for the main cast or any of the cast that much so I didn't feel like watching for my enjoyment.. i just want to know what people are talking about on e comment sections. 7 episode left to go..I can't even finish ep 10!
4. Task Force 38
I felt like I should complete this but i think there's one case too many. I wish they ended with that money throw down to the roof and leave it there i can't see Ma Dong Seok getting tricked after having that budding bromance with Seo in Guk. 4 or 3 episode left
And that concludes my list. I was going to add Fantastic on the list but I never come around to watch it.. Additionally Jisoo got sick so I'm not comfortable to watch the drama. Get well soon my puppy!

Age of Youth review
This drama is the kind of drama I wish they make more often.
At only 12 episode, I highly recommend anyone who is a youth, who was a youth, who is becoming a youth to watch. It's mostly a girl friendship story but I think it would be great if guys can see from the female point of view. Bromance is sweet but so is our sisterhood. lol I have no idea what is the cool term for female bromance..Sismance sounds odd.
I love the fact the story is character driven, allowing each 5 character to have their own story. It was so naturally realistically done that I felt like I listening to a friends' story. While I don't exactly care for the ghost story but I like how it relates to each character.
My favorite character is Yoo Eun Jae because I felt like she is the most like me. She's painfully awkward and nice. Her puppy love and crush is so endearing that she makes me felt like an Unnie (which I am technically due to age) wanting to hug and teach her about life. Senior Yoon was perfect for her. I adore these two together.
Mamamoo has a song called "Girl Crush" and every time Kang Unnie, (if she's awesome, she's an Unnie!) appear my heart just sang the song! She's absolutely gorgeous and badass at the same time. Her love for her housemates wins hands down. Even though she has a past, I love that she has a good heart nevertheless.
Han Yeri is amazing as Yoon Jin Mynng. Her acting deserved an award. The subtle acting is top notch. Her character is a typical troupe but Han Yeri make it work so effortlessly and it felt so real. I'm excited for her next project.
Our oddball 4D girl, Song Ji Won is the perfect ice breaker. I wish I know a person like her in real life. She is the friend that you want to hang out with and I wished her character has a deeper meaning behind it but she's still so much fun. She is the very reason we need a season 2 please!
Madame Jung..I want to love her but she is a pain. ahaha. She is the friend you want to avoid. She's not the worst people but don't share any secret with her because she is the one that will spread the news first. However I can't help to care for her.
Now.. If you haven't watched it. Please do. Join in the team of wanting this drama go for a Season 2.

Dean is coming to Malaysia..but I'm not going. T_T
I actually just found out yesterday. The bad side of not being on social media. haha I'm on twitter but not regularly enough. I'm too busy catching up with drama.
When I saw the schedule, I wasn't absolutely thrilled. 1, it's in KL and Penang, 2, it's next week and 3... It's really not convenient for me.
I immediately check the direct flight and it's not in my favor. Going to KL also no good. Perfect schedule is that I can just do day trip or 1 night stay only but looking at the transport schedule,,, I have to at least stay 2 nights. Which I don't have the luxury of.
I do really want to go but honestly the schedule is not good. The only event I want to go is the Penang showcase. KL schedule seems meh. I don't want a fansign event. I'm a weird person. See, I like his music.. not necessarily the person. I just want to hear him sing. Fansign event is too crowded for my liking. At least concert, I can listen to their singing..I can tolerate the crowd.
The two other event in KL are MY.fm show which mostly likely to be in Chinese and then, he's performing on AIM Chinese..again in Chinese but it's an award show so the chances of going to that event is slim.
So even though I really want to see him sing, I think I'll pass on this.
Big Bang also cannot. Too expensive. I rather watch fancam.

Doctors Review
Phew I'm on roll. This is my 3rd post in a day! I'm just striking while the iron is still hot. hehe.
Doctors was that drama, the drama that made me look at the clock and rushed to my laptop so I could stream it as it was shown in Korea. I was really obsess with the drama.
The level of chemistry between Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye is perhaps one of the best from this year. I wasn't really comfortable when they were Teacher-student relationship but once that passed, I could enjoy comfortably.
Unfortunately that did not last long. As time went by, the romance just got very cheesy. I couldn't stand it. If I was at the scene I would probably be slapping some senses to this couple. I couldn't look away because again, their chemistry is no joke but urghh so much cheese.
The medical part of the drama does nothing to me and it's fine. I wasn't in for the medical drama, I just like the characters in the drama. I read a comment on other sites saying that this isn't a medical drama, it's a romance drama in a hospital setting where two lovers happen to be doctors. I thought that made sense so I didn't expect much from the medical part.
I thought that the drama is a bit draggy to be 20 episodes. SPOILER I couldn't care much about HyeJung's grandma case. I just couldn't relate to it. I lost both grandmothers last year and I missed them dearly but I don't dwell too much on how they died. Everyone may grieve differently but HyeJung is too extreme. it's been 13 years, and what in the world did she do the past 13 years? SPOILER
The politics.. yawn.
Kim Min Seok did a really good job in this drama, I'd be mad he doesn't win any awards
