Doctors Review

Phew I'm on roll. This is my 3rd post in a day! I'm just striking while the iron is still hot. hehe.

Doctors was that drama, the drama that made me look at the clock and rushed to my laptop so I could stream it as it was shown in Korea. I was really obsess with the drama.

The level of chemistry between Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye is perhaps one of the best from this year. I wasn't really comfortable when they were Teacher-student relationship but once that passed, I could enjoy comfortably.

Unfortunately that did not last long. As time went by, the romance just got very cheesy. I couldn't stand it. If I was at the scene I would probably be slapping some senses to this couple. I couldn't look away because again, their chemistry is no joke but urghh so much cheese.

The medical part of the drama does nothing to me and it's fine. I wasn't in for the medical drama, I just like the characters in the drama. I read a comment on other sites saying that this isn't a medical drama, it's a romance drama in a hospital setting where two lovers happen to be doctors. I thought that made sense so I didn't expect much from the medical part.

I thought that the drama is a bit draggy to be 20 episodes. SPOILER I couldn't care much about HyeJung's grandma case. I just couldn't relate to it. I lost both grandmothers last year and I missed them dearly but I don't dwell too much on how they died. Everyone may grieve differently but HyeJung is too extreme. it's been 13 years, and what in the world did she do the past 13 years? SPOILER

The politics.. yawn.

Kim Min Seok did a really good job in this drama, I'd be mad he doesn't win any awards

Liar Game Review

This is a Korean Drama review.

This drama is an adaptation of the Japanese manga that I have not read yet. I might if I have the time. haha most probably not because I only read Detective Conan these days.

Liar Game is one of the drama that I constantly see rave reviews in various site. I thought it being only 12 episodes, it would be easy to watch.

I'd say it definitely lives up to the expectation. It is very thrilling and uses a lot of logical reasoning that I'm fond of. I like how each character reacts to the twist but as for the games, there were one or two that I find a little boring.

Boring as in, not the game that makes me intrigue. I'm not going to elaborate more in case I would have spoilt it. I probably would failed at the game so hard though. haha because I'm a lone ranger and the game is best played as a team.\

I really like Kim So Eun character but why do dramas make nice people stupid? Can't they make nice people smart too? I'm literally shouting towards the screen to tell Kim So Eun not to be so nice.

Romance plot isn't strong in this drama but I wish it was. I totally can see Lee Sang Yoon and Kim So Eun together..I think other fans would disagree with me though. Not a spoiler but that ending is leaving us much desire for another season.

I'll be anticipating that too!

Beautiful Mind Review

I wasn't sure I was going to like Beautiful Mind. I'm not particularly fond of Jang Hyuk, not that he's a bad actor.. just not my type.  I was intrigue with Park So Dam, she earn rave reviews from her film so I wonder if she would live up to the expectation. Based on the summary before the premiere... I thought it was interesting so I decided to give it a try.

I was really close to drop the drama because of Gye Jin Sung. I think Park So Dam did nothing wrong but her character type is my least favorite. That brass kind of attitude is a no-no for me. I like people who has a better action. Ironically though.. I actually stayed when she mellowed down. I like her when she fallen in love with Lee Young Oh.

Lee Young Oh is a really special character. I think Jang Hyuk totally delivered his role to a tee. I just wished he was a little younger. Would it hurt to shave his moustache so he would appear younger? I love his voice though. It sounded really cool.

I had a bit of a crush on the second lead but he is just becoming increasingly disappointing.. I don't hate him too much, he still have some good value in him just that I felt like it would be nice to see him being in love with someone.

The side characters are full of fun. I love the power rangers although they seem very random. Dr. Yang is so adorable! I wished he was shown to have a good relationship with his crush. The cases in this drama is interesting and it matched well to the development of Lee Yong Oh character.

What I don't like about the drama? Obviously the politics. I think politics can be an interesting plot but I can't even bother when it doesn't really help the character growth. Beautiful Mind is a drama that should centralise on  It mostly felt like filler that I really don't care about.

This drama was shorten from 16 to 14 and I'm really upset about the decision. It was announced when I was just getting started to enjoy the drama and they crushed my heart. I felt like it should have just have been 16 so the ending doesn't seem rushed and that we have a proper closure.

I hope that if you're reading this before watching the drama, that the fact the drama is shorten doesn't deter you from watching it. I still think the time spent on this drama is worth spent. A lot of dramas that has been shorten is kinda bad but this drama is just unlucky.

Why I don't watch sageuk.

Sageuk is a term for traditional/historical genre for films or drama.

I've watch a couple of them, Hmm.. Let me try to list them down.

1. Tree With Deep Root
2. SungkyunKwan Scandal
3. Hwang Jin Yi

Modern Sageuk fusion

1. Goong
2. Splash Splash Love

Yup. pretty much that. I felt like I might have watch 1 or 2 more...but I forgot. History isn't my favorite topic but I like to know every single detail of a drama so I think watching sageuk would make me learn about history..and I would then feel guilty because my own country history would be forgotten. Hmm.

I'm not sure whether I'm relieved or sad the fact that end of the year is approaching with more sageuk line up, Yesterday KBS premiered Love in the Moonlight and next week SBS will premiere Scarlet Heart Ryeo. Not sure about MBC yet.

The boys are ridiculously tempting. heh.

I might try to watch because my number of currently watching drama is depleting but I have a lot more dramas yet to finish..like Marriage Contract, Lucky Romance,Wanted and Squad 38 from this year and previous years Bubblegum and It's Okay It's Love

I've finished Liar Game and Beautiful Mind which I have yet to write a review. I'm so busy!

Beautiful GongShim review

Technically I didn't really finished the series. I was bored so I skip to the goodies and call it a day.

This drama really should have been a 16 episode drama instead of freaking 20 because it's so draggy and I ain't got time for that.

The drama started very cute and it was very easy to follow. I thought it was super predictable and even made my own prediction. So let's see what I got right! Look away if you don't want spoilers!

Let me spoil it for you. Ahn Dan Tae is Joon Pyo. Gong Shim will date Joonsu but she ends up with Dan Tae. Joonsu will be the villain in the drama. His parents would probably want him to marry Gong Mi. Gong Mi will learn a lesson. GongShim would either end up working in the kitchen or continue painting.

I got almost all right! So yes, Ahn Dan Tae is Joon Pyo, Gong Shim did not date JoonSu, but she did end up wth Dan Tae. Joonsu isn't really a villain.. I don't know okay not villain if one is only being a mama's boy. I was right that his parents want him to paired up with Gong Mi. Love Seo Hyo Rim but I hate Gong Mi so not so sure Gong Mi learnt a lesson but I think she did. Gongshim end up working in her field.

PHEW. SPOILER ENDS!

The kidnapping plot was weak, I think a university student could have wrote the story better and the villain is just lame.  I don't know why they didn't continue the slow-mo thingy or the fact Gong Shim freaking wore her wig while having surgery.. yup. yeah a lot of minor mistake.

I like that Joonsu is a wholesome person..but a bit unrealistic. Can anyone be THAT nice?

It's a cute drama for sure, I think most of the viewers stayed because Namgoong MIn and Minah were adorable together.

Dear My Friends Review

Dear My Friends has been a whirlwind ride. I wasn't sure I could go on, I contemplated of dropping the drama but somehow I knew that it's not right to mess with our elders. So I just brace it and continue to search on what I like.

In every drama I watched, I somehow feel like I can relate to the characters and this drama is no different. The character I'm most attached is Choong Nam. She is the main caregiver to her family, owns a cafe, loves art and sarcastic as it's best. All characteristic that I can relate, I don't have a cafe but I do dream to own one some day. I kinda can see me not wanting to loose to the young ones and kinda not refer myself as old. I think I'm half way there because I feel small for not achieving more in life. I'm a merely diploma graduate.. felt like I could at least get a proper degree.

JeongAh is another character I can relate to because she loves to give and care for somebody. I don't think I'll get marry but if I do.. I probably be like Jeong Ah. I wished she just care for herself a little more.

Sungkyun is not the worst character in my books, he's really traditionalist person so I don't think he's bad person, he is just educated such way.  I hate Sungjae the most! How could she toyed with Choong Nam's heart? I like that he is a smart guy but don't hurt my Choong Nam's heart!

I love love Hee Ja. She's so lovable character and I'm so sad on what happen to her. I think she is the most realistic character because I have seen character like her in real life. I knew she has a stubborn streak and yes, it is very difficult to care a stubborn person. You have to be clever not to make her feel like she's a burden.

Ssang Boon, Nan Hee and Wan, the only 3 generations family is not my favorite story. I can understand not wanting an cheating guy but not wanting someone who has disability is mind boggling. It is hard to live with someone with disability but it's not impossible. Not being able to walk isn't the worst thing in life.

Not forgetting our star, Youngwon seems to lead a glamorous life. She was in war with Nanhee but I'm glad they resolved the problem. I don't particularly care for her story.. it's not boring but I can't really empathise her story.

I'm trying my best not to give spoilers.. I think if you have nothing better to do, this is a good drama to watch. It may be a little depressing at some parts but happiness is there too. I want everybody to know that before they are known as mothers or grandparents.. they were like us, very youthful.

My Top Kpop for First Half of 2016

Finally I came around writing this post. I don't think I listen to Kpop as much in the first half because I really paid a lot more attention to Kdrama. So this list is perhaps missing out a lot on other great song released! If you have any recommendation, please drop a comment.

1. Don't Forget - Crush feat Taeyeon

When I made this list, this song is clear winner without any doubt. I hope that Crush
can continue to produce this kind of music. I'm a bit disappointed in his Interlude mini album.
I was going to review it but none stick to my head.

2. Tell Me (What is Love) - Yoo Young Jin

Yoo Young Jin should sing more often, I think he is one of the best vocalist in SM.
His voice against D.O. was everything I hoped to be and I'm glad for SM Station for
making music more interesting.

3. The truth is - Jay Park

The lyrics is perhaps the most brutal lyrics I have ever heard..wait scratch that
Blacknut is even crazier but as a woman, I think Jay Park is damn savage. Jay Park is such
cheeky guy, how does he sing so sweetly but the lyrics are so urm, dirty? That being said, I
love you Jay Park, can I be your Tinashe? hahahahahhaha

4. Toy - Block B

With the new mini album, Block B is back with a more mature serious side to them. I pick
Toy as my favorite because I think this song still retain the playful image of Block B.
I appreciate the English used in the song, It had impact and it wasn't awkward at all.

5. Save ME - BTS

Looks like BTS is venturing into EDM as well and lately I'm starting to warming up to EDM
genre. This song is my favorite among the new release on their repackage album. BTS is
really good at knowing what is trendy.

6. Press Your Number - Taemin

Knowing that Bruno Mars composed this, I maybe a little bias. I have said it before but I am
super proud of Taemin. He barely had lines during debut years and now look at him! Singing all
by himself. I proud of this hardworking kid.

7. I Miss You - Mamamoo

Anyone can sing this song..but no one can sing as good as Mamamoo. Mamamoo has a lot of "heung" but it's lovely to hear them sing to their talent. If they sing this song in acappella, I would
be so happy to listen to it.

8. D (Half Moon) - Dean feat. Gaeko

The perfect lullaby for those lonely nights when you can't sleep. I don't think Gaeko's part is
a necessary but I understand the input. Listen to the band version of this song and you will agree
with me.

9. Monster - EXO

This song is such a jam. By the first listen I was already hooked and the song just stayed in
my head for hours. I have affection for this song because my dad calls me monster. lol because
I break a lot of things.

10. Better Man - Bumkey feat Tablo

I feel like this song is written towards his wife. If you didn't know, not long after he got
married, he was arrested on suspicious on drug related cases. He is declared innocent and I'm
so glad for that. I really hope that Bumkey will continue be a better man because his talent
would have gone to waste.

11. You, Too - Loco feat ChaCha Malone

I didn't know the song was out unitl I saw the fancam performance of this song. I was so
surprised to hear that the audience could sing a long to the song and it was only released 1
week prior. I love ChaCha's part the most, perhaps because it was in English and I understood?

12. Why - Taeyeon

I don't get this song receieve bad reviews. EDM is not the worst genre. Sure those unnnecessary
sound effect can sound annoying, overall it is an updated/modernize version of a pop song. I
like seeing happy Taeyeon and this song totally suited her free spirited image. Would have put
starlight but I prefer this song.

13. Shut up and Groove - Heize feat Dean

Is this the same Heize in Chen's song? I think she is a better vocalist because of her unique tone.
I think her vibe matches well with Dean. This song is underrated for sure. Perfect for the club just
to groove around. I'm happy that they're back together in July as well!

14. Like You - Hoody

I'm currently using the song as my ringtone. Hoody the only girl in AOMG is living my dream life. Shoutout to Gray for this lovely song.

15. Heartbreak Hotel - Tiffany feat Simon D

Where is that Gray whisper though??? Maybe they don't want to make it obvious since they were
rumored to be in a relationship before. I love Simon D these days. I hope he continue to be on the records!

16. You are me and I am you - Zico

What a mouthful of a title. I like songs that are chill. This is easy to listen and the lyrics are nice. Love the video as well.

First Half 2016 Korean Drama review

2016 dramas I've watch

1. MBC One More Happy Ending
2. tvN Cheese In the Trap
3. KBS Descendant of the Sun
5. SBS Come Back, Mister
6. tvN Memory
7. tvN Signal
8. KBS Neighbourhood Lawyer, Mr. Jo
9. KBS Page Turner
10. KBS Baek Hee has returned
11. tvN Another Miss Oh
12. Jtbc Ms. Temper and Nam Jung Ki

My Top 5
1. Another Miss Oh
2. Signal
3. Memory
4. One More Happy Ending
5. Page Turner

The ranking is based on how I personally felt. Cheese in the Trap deserved a mention here, it did made me crazy, but how it turn out at the later series frustrated me a lot.

Ongoing/Not completed

1. MBC Lucky Romance
2. tvN Dear My Friends
3. SBS Beautiful GongShim
4. MBC Marriage Contract (not complete)

I thought I would have dropped Dear My Friends because it was so real and mellow but I appreciate it so much now. Lucky Romance, I'm quite behind but I will catch up by this week. I think Beautiful Gongshim has become draggy, should have been a 16 episode instead of 20. I want the romance to progress faster! As for Marriage Contract.. only ep2.

Dropped

1. SBS Entertainer

Past Drama watched

1. tvN Twenty Again
2. tvN Let's Eat 2
3. tvN Misaeng
4. MBC Splash Splash Love
4. SBS It's Okay That's Love (not complete)
5. tvN Bubblegum (not complete)

I have wrote my reviews, to summarise... I enjoyed catching up on past dramas. I may catch up to other popular ones but for now that is on hold.

Dramas that I will be watching

1. OCN Squad 38
2. SBS Wanted
3. KBS Uncontrollably Fond
4. SBS Doctors (watching)
5. KBS Beautiful Mind (watching)

As you can read from the list, I really have a lot in my plate. So I won't be watching Let's fight Ghost and Good Wife.

I'm okay with the current trend of big age gap among leads as long they are both adults. Kim So Hyun, Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Sae Ron are all minors paired up with adults is just no-no. Even I have trouble with the teacher-student love relationship on Doctors and both actors in real life are adults. It's just not sweet.

Sageuk? no thanks. haha

Another Miss Oh review

I wish the drama would go on forever, like let me date you until I get bored of you.
Let me break with you, don't dump me drama.

Heh. Did you catch what I was trying to do?

The drama has a lot of legendary lines and funny scenes. My favorite line is probably
Park Do Kyung's words to Our Hae Young at the hospital (might contain inaccuracy)

"Nice to see you, I'm so glad that both of us are hurting. It won't be
fair for me to be in pain alone. I got hurt because I couldn't hug you"

When he decided to open up and go against his reserved self was the most special
moment of the drama. We see the growth of Do Kyung's character. He was hurt from the lack
of love but with the power of Our Hae Young's love, he gains courage. While he may have
accepted his impending fate, he lives his life without any regrets.

As for my favorite scene. There are 2! One is when Soo Kyung and Jin Sang bet with Our Hae Young
whether she could hug someone like Anna did with Park Hoon. I thought the scene was lovely at first
on the end of the episode but the next episode when they open with the scene.. I don't think I ever
laugh more than that in these recent years! Gawd Seo Hyun Jin skin must be so thick by now! i applaud the writer for adding the bra insert flying off scene. LOL

The second one is Jin Sang revealed that he is fluent in French and knew everything about Soo Kyung's love life. I knew they would end up together. haha. I think they both equally crazy so I thought they matched well. Ye Ji Won is really good at picking characters in drama, she is quite the scene stealer in dramas. I knew if she is in the drama that her character would be somewhat quirky. I was surprised with Kim Ji Suk playing the character, not really off, since he is a lawyer in the drama.. but a womanizer? interesting. I thought he usually choose to play goody two shoes characters. I'm glad despite his dirty self in the bedroom that he still have good values.

What made the drama high quality is that the side characters story is as solid. Our Hae Young parents hands down win best Kdrama parents ever. Never mind the mom is pretty crazy, she is the coolest mom and meek dad is adorable! Park Do Kyung job is actually one of my dream job, I love working with audio. I thought it was pretty interesting. I would love to have my own studio at home someday.

The fantasy element to this show does nothing for me, it is interesting but I think it will still be fun without.

I wished that Han Tae Jin and the other Hae Young had a bit of closure to their story. Han Tae Jin is a hottie, I couldn't hate him.. of course, since he is also a victim in the story.

Drama, I love you not 89% but 100%.

Doctors versus Beautiful Mind

I wished these dramas are not on the same time slot but if I had to choose, I would probably watch Doctors live and Beautiful Mind on the reruns.

Now that the high school love story is out of the way, I can comfortably swoon over Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye together. I never thought their chemistry would be so good. Based on description before the drama premiered, I had some reservation with the pairing because I remember watching Kim Rae Won acted when I was still in school! He is like an ajusshi to me. Park Shin Hye is of my generation so I thought there is no way this pairing would work.

I wished the high school love story serves as a nostalgic memory.. but watching it so real made me feel uncomfortable. Never mind their real age gap is 9 years, a student is a minor and the portrayal should have a clean clear line. While I'm so happy to see the progress being quite fast, I thought that reunite is still lingering a bit inappropriate.

But both are legal now so I am just going to forget that.

As for Beautiful Mind...sigh.

I'm willing to overlook inaccuracy because I'm not a professional. However the methods used in the dramas is a bit overboard and dangerous is an understatement,

I'm watching out of curiosity, it may turn to be the most ridiculous medical drama.

There isn't one character I'm attracted to. I never quite like Jang Hyuk and Park So Dam character is my least favorite type. She has no sense and acts rashly. I can't get this type of character. I think her character is just very messy.

The biggest problem in this drama is that I tend to forget which side character for which drama.  I also don't like both are neurosurgeon. So many department...yet both choose neurosurgeon.

Entertainer

I'm dropping the drama because I have other better dramas to watch.

It is not engaging enough for me to commit to the drama and I feel terrible because I don't drop often. The last drama I dropped was The blue bird house, which was a weekend drama.. It's 50 episode long, and I watch like more than half.

Is it really bad that it made me dropped a drama? Despite all the plot twist and strong character profile, I just can't seem to want to like the character or their story. I feel like their flaws are not suitable for their character.

I think it's a case of too much of everything at once that it made me loose interest. One was falsely accuse of rape, one is a single father, one is a mama boy and one is just spoilt brat.Where is that air to breath? Harsh but I hate all the character...maybe except the guitarist, Kyle. He is the most normal one. ahhaha.

Mama boy doesn't bother me too much but somehow I don't buy L.Joe playing a Mama boy.. Kang Min Hyuk character is frustrating. Please writers, don't tell me this boy is a good student and then let him not do anything about his false accusation.

I only watch up to episode 6.. maybe it does get better but for now... I will not finish the drama

YooChun

I can't believe that this would ever happen to my favorite bias ever. Granted that I was lesser of a fan today than back then but it hurts so bad because he is one of the reason I stayed in Kpop for so long.

The feeling I have inside is just enormously overwhelming. I am mad that he possibly did something wrong and sad he was in this huge mess. I am not siding with anyone, I believe in the truth.

I wish it was someone else. I feel bad for feeling this way but I've seen other past celebrities caught in a similar situation and it doesn't end well. Park Shi Hoo case was dropped but his image is forever tainted and Kim Hyun Joong mess is awful.

This is just too much for me to handle. I just want to believe that this is just a nightmare and I can wake up from it.

Fucking frustrated dudes and girls.. if you are fucking horny for some love, do yourself a favour by just fucking masturbate. Get into therapy or  get a better hobby. you are a fucking human not an uncontrollable beast. Don't go messing around with other people that don't want you!

Misaeng

First of all, I need to say thank you to all the team that translate the drama. I think the dialogues in this drama must have been difficult to translate because it was a lot of business and trade jargon.

I read a lot of rave review about this drama but I come without expectation because I knew that love story isn't strong in this drama. I just wanted to know what is the hype was. I thought.. oh this drama is kinda boring...but I find myself already at episode 5, and wants to watch the next episode.

On top of unfamiliar terms and no experience working in an office environment, I don't know why a person like me would watch the drama. I think the drama is character driven so I find myself relating to each characters.

"what have you been doing for the past 26 years?"

when that line was said out to Geu Rae (Siwan) I could feel my heart wrenching because I can totally relate to the statement. I don't know what I've been doing either. I feel so small whenever that lines comes around.

Baek Ki (Kang Ha Neul)looks a lot like my first crush. Men who looks good in glasses is my weakness. I was helplessly in love with Baek Ki, no matter how jealous or petty he was, I can't hate him. I thought his character is absolutely realistic. I've seen people like him before.

Apart from the fact she is a female.. I don't think I could relate to Young Yi (Kang So Ra) character. I do feel sorry for her troubles but I think she is a girl crush material all the way. I don't get why Mr. Ha being so hard on her. She is so gorgeous and intelligent, please don't disturb her!!

The crazy dog, Suk Yool (Byun Yo Han). He reminds me of Heechul so much, I don't hate him at all. I love his love for Geurae. I was so sad when he chopped his hair because it is not Suk Yool without the long bob. Yeah, he looked better with the haircut but it's boring and Suk Yool is never boring.

Our Dong Shik...why isn't he married by the last episode??? Opps spoiler. He is such a teddy bear sweetheart, I don't get why he isn't taken. If he exist in real life, I think he would definitely get married for sure.

I feel quite empty now that I have finished Misaeng in less than a week. I seriously lack of sleep and I might just withhold watching drama for a bit. I have a long list of  anticipating dramas though. I think I might quit after Another Miss Oh ends. I hope the day never comes and Another Miss Oh will continue to show forever.

Let's Eat 2

If it wasn't for DooJoon and Seo Hyun Jin, I might not choose to watch this drama because I am not a foodie. I like food but I can eat whatever that is convenient. I don't like queuing up for food, if I am at the food court, I will never choose the one I need to line up.

All the food shots were pretty but all that eating scene is kinda over the top for me. I don't like watching people eat or the fact people see me eat. I skip all the eating part. I like the random fact on food and the difference style of eating between Dae Young and SooJi.

The side love story is typical. I thought it was predictable as usual. The mystery element was annoying. I didn't think it was necessary but maybe others like it. I did like the villa stories, and the Pomeranian with a lot of nickname, (Dog, Happy and JooYoung) was so adorable.

Kwon Yool seems to like to play the character a lot. I feel like the past dramas I've seen him on seems like the same person. I think he suits those role well but I can see him playing a villain someday. I hope he would expend to other type of character some day.

Doo Joon is very much like Dae Yeong. I see no difference. So many Beast reference and I love Yoseobie cameos!

Perhaps because I'm quite obsess with Another Miss Oh, I don't find the chemistry berween Seo Hyun Jin with Kwon Yool and Doo Joon works for me. For some odd reason I thought she looked a little different on this drama that in Another Miss Oh. I think she got prettier lately.. maybe, SHE AND ERIC ARE DATING??? lol

I've been seeing Hwang Suk Jung everywhere! I was watching Misaeng, Let's Eat 2 and Mr. Jo Deul Ho at similar time.. imagine the confusion. haha

Shut up & Groove

Dean can do no wrong in my books. I don't how he does it but he is my answer to music. I apologize for starting this post with Dean although this is Heize song. I have not check the credits yet but I'm pretty sure Dean wrote and produce the song because it sounds like him a lot.

I was a bit surprised to hear her sing. I recognize her name from Unpretty Rapstar, I have not watched the show but I do read articles on it because of my interest in Korean hip hop. I thought she did well. It isn't my first listen to Heize, she did a collaboration with Chen earlier on this year I think for SM Staton.. It wasn't my favorite song. I don't really enjoy her raps.

The singing method that Heize used in the song I find a bit annoying because it can sound nasally at times but I cannot deny that it actually works. It has a lot of groove and it works well against Dean's voice.

Her rap part in the song almost felt non existence.. it was as if she just speeds up a verse that sound like she was sing-talk. I don't mind it, I think it's cool if rappers don't rap in every song. I have one complain on the song. What's with the bark?? Sure it fits the song but it kinda breaks the mood for me.

Dean's ad-libs are on point. Some singers can overdone it but not this fella. He is so good. I wish he got more popular and do more TV appearance so I can watch his performance more often. From the not many video found, I think his LIVE performance is too good to be true.

If Heize continues to keep on doing similar things, I'll be interested to learn more about her. I don't know if I could have high hopes just because I like 1 song.

Drama progress

I'm currently watching completed Let's Eat 2, Misaeng, It's Okay It's Love, Bubblegum and Marriage Contract.

It's a lot. My life is a mess trying to keep up with these dramas on top of currently ongoing dramas.. just for the record, I'm watching Another Miss Oh, Lucky Romance, Dear My Friends and Beautiful GongShim.

I decided to drop Entertainer and it marks the first time I'm dropping a drama when I'm quite far long into the drama, I stop around episode 8.  I'm waiting for the romance part to progress quickly before picking it up again. Reviews are saying it gets better. Dear My Friends actually turn for the better for me. I still think the plot are so scary and terrifying but I felt like the grandmas are too charming to drop this drama so I'm going to complete the ride.

Lucky Romance is kinda a bust for me because I came in with too high expectation. Am I expecting too much that I feel no chemistry on the 1st episode that is making me feel the bubble has fizzled out? I mean.. I just saw the promotional poster for Suzy and Kim Woo Bin's Drama and it was on FIRE.. Now I'm quite pessimistic on that drama. haha

I'm afraid of Another Miss Oh. I'm going to enjoy it for the moment but I have a bad feeling. T_T Beautiful GongShim is something I watch to kill time and it's painfully predictable...except for Ahn Dan Tae. I think I might drop this drama because I feel like I watch this kind of drama over and over again.

Bottom line, I don't think that this drama would surprise me at all.

Neighbourhood Lawyer Mr. Jo Deul Ho

When it comes to Korean drama, I like to stick with the usual romantic comedy or melodrama because I like the familiarity. However the recent years I think Korean drama has evolved to be more than just the typical poor girl meets chaebol heir.

However I admit that I'm still quite sceptical on law drama because of past dramas I have seen, It's not really memorable..I don't have a great memory to begin with but I remember wanting so much for a love story on Kim Hyun Joo and Lee Dong Wook in Partners.. I watch I can see you voice only remembering the love story and the scary ajushhi.

I was going to pass on Neighbourhood Lawyer Mr. Jo Deul Ho because it was based on a webtoon and I'm a bit bitter after Cheese in the Trap. After DotS was done, I was surfing around to find a good drama to watch and read a lot of good reviews on this drama so I got curious and end up watching 8 episode straight.

Another reason I didn't want to watch the drama is because the leading man and lady had a jarring age gap. I don't really have problem with couples with wide age gap but honestly I just don't want to feel uncomfortable. Thankfully the leads are not a couple but a partner in work. Love story is put in the back burner so if you're looking for that maybe skip this drama?

To kill time, I enjoyed the drama. I personally find the drama is a bit draggy at the end. I'm not trying to be logical but some scene is quite the stretch. I wished Kang Sora's presence is more prominent. The humor antic are fun and adds color to the drama.

I'm really glad they didn't end up extending the drama. It was reported to extend 4 drama because the following drama had a bit of problem.. I thought it was going to end at 16 episode.

First Impression : Dear My Friend

I was pretty hyped to watch this star studded drama but I feel like I'm going to drop it so I'm writing this post to record it down.

I don't think the story is engaging enough for me to follow. I do love an ensemble kind of drama but I couldn't relate to the drama.. which is kinda odd because I live next door to my grandparents. I'm quite close to my late grandmother.. somehow the drama doesn't reminds me of her and I was probably looking for some comfort in this drama.  Go Hyun Jung character is not my favorite, realistic? probably but a little annoying.

The cameos are something else though, Jo In Sung and Daniel Henney are such eye candy. Should I stay for it? haha

I probably will watch another 2 episode before completely dropping the drama.

My life as a Kpop fanatic and Kdrama addict.

As soon as I wake up the first thing I grab is my phone. Doesn't matter WiFi or data, I need my news fast. I go to my top websites and scroll down to read comments. I think this is an odd side to Kpop fans, The comment section is the place to get all the information. I've been a regular at the side for years and it honestly feels same old but I still read it habitually because I know there's a gold information that cannot be missed. I do this through out the day until before I go to bed. I think at least 10 times a day. There's a notification app for it but I prefer refreshing the page.

I listen to Kpop in the morning and sometimes before bed. I may be at home walking the dog or while waiting for schedules to finish. If I'm doing some light chores, I might listen to Kpop too.

My cable have all the basic Korean channel but only 2 stations I am subscribed. KBS and SBS. I'm not a big fan of SBS variety show so I usually don't watch. I would record dramas and variety show. If I am bored, I'll go through recording for about 3 hours each day. The most is probably 5 hours.

I watched drama through out the day. My new years resolution was to watch as much drama as I can so I'm keeping myself busy with it. I don't really watch an episode till finish. I usually watch and pause a lot. I like to research on the actors on the drama  and reads reviews on dramabeans. 1 episode probably take me 2 hours to finish between breaks.

For my blog, I try to blog more frequently this year as to document all the dramas I have watched.

So you probably be thinking, what do I do for a living that most of my time is spent on Kpop? I'm a full time caregiver.. so I'm either at home or hospital, I waste a lot of time waiting so I kill time with Kpop. I have a maid that does house chores, I only do food, medication and other routines involving pets. I have 3 rather large ponds and 6 dogs.

I'm technically like a Korean Ahjumma.

Splash Splash Love

Splash Splash Love is a webdrama that is aired in MBC as 2 episode. It is a fantasy sageuk (traditional) drama staring Kim Seul Gi and DooJoon of Beast.

It tells a story of a 3rd year student who feels like her bad luck keep on looming upon her and she wanted an escape. She prayed hard and noticed a suspicious looking puddle of water that was resulted from the rain. She jumps into the water and it transported her to a different time period. It was Joseon. Joseon era had a serious draught problem with no rain for 3 years. They were doing rain ceremony to call on the rain gods.Suddenly the student drops from heaven. The only way home is for the rain to come.

Heol. I'm bad at summarizing without giving away spoilers.

I usually avoid sageuk because I don't feel like researching for Korean history. The drama requires no Korean history knowledge (though it would be fun) and so I enjoyed the drama. The hilarity of the time difference is quite funny and the romance is adorable.

Definitely would be rewatching this drama in the near future.

Koreamie~!
