Super Junior!! Miracle is my all time favourite song but I play this one on replay because I love the feel of the song and being a newbie in Kpop..this song got nice English lyrics to it. Ballad song but somehow it works with the dance moves.

Saranghaeyo Korea Festival in 1Borneo

So I woke up today feeling excited and nervous about going to 1Borneo today...

Arrive at Wawasan Plaza 7am-ish and wonder around warisan square till the bus come.

At 1Borneo, rush to the center atrium.. NOTHING.

I was even earlier than the organiser, like they knew about the "Malaysian Time". So i waited till 11.00am.. O_O this is it?

I did took some picture but it's not pleasing to the eye. It was not a festival, more like a lame showcase. I was expecting more since KTO was incharged. There were more travel companies than Korean people. I was more dissapointed with Korea Sparkling..sure there's hanbok around but that's it. Korean dancer were there but their rehearsal were didn't-you-practise-earlier?

I'm no Korean but I can organize this better. I mean, today is the 1st day, and you only prepare today? I thought they should prepare way earlier. They only prepare few pictures.. tables.. just like a regular expo. You're here to impress not depress! Woah.. and they are selling fruits and food like super duper expensive! Are you here to make money? You should be here to promote.. give freebies and stuff.

I should sleep in, I expected too much.. it's so depressing.

Sure it's only the 1st day, but does it have to be that BAD?

I rather watch Korean shows on the internet all day than going to the so called "Festival".

p/s I went around 10am-12pm, so yeah not much..that's why the rant! (and I'm scared of antifan..LOL)

Kdrama Review: Heading to the Ground

So I have finished an episode.. Dorky U-know is really not my type and it's really heartbreaking to see him with someone who's not really that pretty! (a lil bit spoiler..)

Yunho need to work on his facial expression, it's too fake! But it's his 1st time acting (alone..i know about Banjun and Vacation) so i'll cut some slacks

Lee Yoon Ji is in this drama!! Omg! She's pretty and she is such natural.. :)

There were few corny lines.. =.= and it's all about Soccer! lol I think Junsu would do this role better..plus YunHo is too handsome to play a dorky role!

Go Eun Ah is really pretty and i can pretty much assume that she will be linked to YunHo.. I really hope not with Yoon Ji because she's older!

Korean dramas have some sort of recipe for making one..
it must have someone rich and someone poor..

it's over and over formula but it's ok.. I enjoy seeing rich people!
Although it does gets my nerves when a rich person acting poor.. :(

The real drama starts at 2nd episode... 1st episode is kinda boring..but then when you wait till the end, the drama unfolds into a darker mode.. i guess i'll be watching episode 2 then?

SM Debuts..Rewind to yesteryears

Let me explain something 1st before i start rambling..

I'm only a fan after the debut of DBSK..that explain why no legendary groups like H.O.T. and so on. KyuHyun only debuted at 2006, that's why SuJu got 2 videos.


DBSK's "Hug"

1st up, DBSK... is in the highest ranking of idols.. you could ask any idols of today and most would say DBSK is one of their inspiration. I love Hug in all version..but Korean is still the best.


CSJH The Grace's "Too Good"


CSJH, oh gosh..Lee Soo Man decided to shift them off to Japan just like DBSK.. said to be the female counterpart of DBSK but it seem it's not working. These ladies are talented, too bad Lee Soo Man don't bring them back to Korea. Honestly, I only like "My Everything".

My favourite group..Super Junior debuted as 12 member group in 2005, was meant to be a project group.. i'm so thankful toward my fellow E.L.F.s for protesting! Lee Soo Man cleverly added KyuHyun into the group. Twins is not my cup of tea.. but "U" is love love love.

SHINee! I practically cringed everytime i need to type the name! Compare to SNSD, this group seem boring because of the squeaky clean image.. but their debut song is strong and many claim that SHINee has that Big Bang vibe. Noona Nomu Yeppo will remain best SHINee song in my list!

Just debuted recently, f(x) is already creating buzz! LA chA TA is really a nice song to debut. and another cringes from me everytime i type in their name.. LOL

Kdrama Review: My Fair Lady

Last night was the premiere of "My Fair Lady" in KBS World.

Being Yoon Eun Hye biased, this is a must watch for me!

Because of YEH, this drama creates a lot of buzz and it really doesn't help reading comments regarding her acting. Yoon Sang Hyun was in the movie, and i know he's famous for singing "Never ending story" so yeah this drama is famous.

YEH wasn't as bad as i thought, i guess people are just not ready to see her potraying a new character. The drama sort of reminds me of "Boys over Flower" since it's about lavish live of a girl.

Honestly, i didn't watch much of this drama because i'm basically fast forwading not because it's boring but I wanted to see IlWu! he wasn't in the 1st episode but he will tonight!

I'm going to watch the 1st episode again and review this back.

Update (19 Sept)

Okay, now i can see where YEH acting goes.. the little famous kid is in this drama.. he's quite funny so I have more to look forward to in this drama

I like how the drama evolves..can't wait for the next episode!

Breakups..

There is no such thing as a happy breakup..separation is always sad.

However, I'm a realistic person. I do expect to see groups to go separate ways like Nsync. (I don't use H.O.T. because i'm not a fan yet.) it's quite common one of the members leaves the group like Oasis (bad choice, i know NOTHING about them) Weslife (Bryan left) and BackStreetBoys (Kevin Left).

It's hard to imagine this happen toward Kpop idol groups because as a fan you become so attached to them and follow every single shows with them in it. Through the shows you could see the brotherly love ammong members and it's no surprise it's hard to imagine breakups.

The recent incident happen to 2PM is obviously heart-breaking no doubt. 2PM just sealed it the place among the rank of idols and like me a newbie fan also feels the effect.

My favourite group is Super Junior (obvious isn't it?) and i do agree 13 is a LOT but if one left the group, you can bet that i would cry my heart out! I always wished i'm not SuJu fan because 13 is a ridiculous number for a group. Once in love it's hard to get out.. I love my SuJu boys dearly and they had me a joyfull person.. i never laugh so much in my entire life the way i did for SuJu boys, when they shed a tear, my heart goes out to them. Indirectly SuJu made me a better person. I never understand the concept of family but SuJu great brotherly love made me realize.

I hope when the day does come, I hope it's not too soon and I will accept it.

Male idol jinx?

What a way to start the morning, I woke this morning and first thing come up on my screen was Kangin caught in a case.

It's like someone put a jinx to Male idols, first it was Micky-Jae-Junsu case, then it was Jaebum "Korea is Gay" Scandal and now Kangin? I hope it's not SHINee next.. Oh not forgetting Big Bang's DaeSung who recently got caught in an accident. Maybe it's a sign to cut down on female debuts this year. :P

It's a rather bittersweet moment this year again for Korean because there a lot of flowers blooming this year but there were many flowers went into the soil. Death is unescapeable, but there's scandal and controversies everytime.

If 2008 is the year of comebacks, 2009 is the year or female debuts. Will it be successful? I'm in doubt because if you remember clearly, last year there is a number of boyband debuted went forgotten.

back to topic, Male Idols seems to faded with the overflowing female group. Super Junior, 2PM and SHINee did well but as i try to recall, there were Male groups made a comeback and there were few debuts went unnoticed.

SG Wannabe made a comeback, V.O.S. made a comeback, 24/7 debuted, DNT debuted...A'ST1 made a comeback.. ok, u get it or not? Did they do well? Yes, but it was the female comebacks and debut made headlines.

2009 is really not Male year.. :(
I'm happy for the girls but the main reason i'm a fan is the guys!

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is organising the first-ever Saranghaeyo Korea Festival in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Saranghaeyo (which means ‘love’) will showcase Korea’s unique culture and traditions during the Korean Carnival at the Centre Atrium of the 1Borneo Hypermall in Kota Kinabalu.

From 25–27 September, visitors can sample authentic Korean fare, don the national Korean costume, the hanbook, and have a chance to win exciting prizes sponsored by LG, Korean Airlines and Aseana Airlines. On 25 and 26 September, head over to the 1Borneo Grand Ballroom for a wonderful evening of Korean song and dance by a group of 35 performers.

Witness the graceful fan dance known as the ‘Buchaechum’ and ‘Salpori’, a traditional shamanism dance. Tickets are priced at RM30 and RM50; net proceeds will go to a charitable organization. Tickets can be obtained at the Sabah Tourism Board office on Jalan Gaya or at 1Borneo. Mimie Supports JaeBum

JaeBum has officially left 2PM

I'm truly shocked by this move, I utterly speechless, feeling like the world has stopped. Just when I'm becoming more attached to 2PM, the leader has left the building.

Those who have no idea, JaeBum was being victimize by Korean Netizen because he once wrote "Korea Gay" in his myspace account few years back. Yes, the action is undeniably wrong but i believe that he is a different person now.

I'm sad about the thoughts of 2PM as 6 members, but i agree JaeBum needs a getaway, ignorant people asking him to commit suicide is TOO MUCH.

but really, JaeBum has made an apology... I know time will heal this matter. I'm not Korean, so i don't feel anything about JaeBum's comment. At least he wrote a sincere apology.

Btw, do you know that "Gay" also means "Happy"? JaeBum could have made excuses but he didn't. I can think a lot of excuses for him but He choose to make an apology. He didn't give any excuses in his letter and that's a plus point!

Right now, it seem very certain..

I'm joining the boycott, i'm not going to purchase any SM Entertainment product. I'm considering to quit Kpop altogether, but i'll just wait.. if something happen to Super Junior, this blog will be dead.

Super Junior and DBSK.. they are the ones who make me a fan of Kpop.
If something happens to them, I will not going to support Kpop anymore.

DBSK Vs SM

I'm a big Chunnie fan.. and with the BREAKING NEWS, I am SAD!

I don't know what to think as of now.. It's heartbreaking to think that DBSK are going to disband.. I would definitely cry if it's going to happen.. I'm having fears that DBSK won't be as where they're standing now after this issue solve. Look at ShinHwa, yes.. still together, NOT popular!

It's going to be a sad day. I don't know what to believe in..
i remembered watching JaeJoong clap when Lee Soo Man received award last year..it seem weird!

My wildest prediction is

SM Entertainment is going to give DBSK some of the company shares.. Just like BoA and KangTa.

Drama Review: He Who Can't Marry

KBS "He Who Can't Marry" stars Ji Jin Hee, Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim So Eun

Yes, you might have guess it.. I watch this because of SO EUN! I absolute love her in BOF, so I'm excited to see her again in a new drama! (Note: I do realise The Partner and this have BOF actors!)

From the title, I guess the character must be some kind of a weirdo and I was right! AGAIN~ but, it's funny so I'm loving this! I was rather share the same value with this weirdo though.. here's a roughly quote (from the subtitle)

"Marriage is seem like a final goal, everyone felt the pressure to achieve it. But if you had different outlook, it's not important."

"Yes, that's the beauty of being single.. you don't have to be stuck with a life support for your family.. I can choose to die by sailing in the ocean without any worries"

Hemm.. Kind of what I'm going to say in the future, but that's a different story!

The main character is a 40 yr old guy that owns an architect business. He a weird guy but i can totally relate since i'm weird too! If you're interested in modern culture.. this drama gives you an insight of what Korea thinks of being single at old age and marriage. I just learn it's weird to eat beef alone! Korean beef, mind you is not CHEAP.. expensive!

Sometimes, if you know celeb too much.. it feels awkward to watch them potray another character.. Uhm Jung Hwa as a DOCTOR?? LOL Kim So Eun is 27?? Kim Gunmo appears once in the 1st episode was hilarious! I was like "LOL Kim GunMo is soo pathetic, even in drama.. he is an old unmarried man!"

Drama Review: The Partner

KBS "The Partner" Stars Lee Dong Wook (My Girl), Kim Hyun Joo (Boys Over Flowers), Lee Hanui (aka Honey Lee) and Kim Dong Wook (Coffee Prince)

I haven't watched any Lee Dong Wook film.. so i had some imaginary thoughts on him. Turns out he potrays somewhat goofy, which is not what i was picturing. Kim Hyun Joo, however kind of shock me because I didn't realize it was her.. because she look so ajumma-ish! Honey Lee is so gorgeous! I like her cool character, doesn't make you think her as Miss Korea! Kim Dong Wook..awww, I like him! I like his character since Coffee Prince! He is the reason why i watched this..I hope his character would not be too much alike with his previous drama.

I have watched 4 episode.. and it's kind of getting boring! Perhaps i was asking too much since it's a Law drama. Not much intensity in the cases.. a little too bland!

The 1st case was interesting but the second one..YAWN! Detective Conan is my favourite comic you know..murder cases are my cup of tea! Hopefully this drama would revolve around the drama cases and just a lil bit more on Kim Dong Wook. Lee Dong Wook is a Turn Off for me.. I don't like his character! But thank goodness he's a cutie!
