This isn't a filler post. I really do want to recommend the songs below.
I listen to a couple of new album and I found songs that I like better than the ones promoted.
Infinite's song that keeps on repeat. Sorry I don't know the translation..It took me a while to search it up on Youtube. I think it's pronounce as Boott Bak Lee Byul..I'm not sure! It's very different from their promoted single "Come Back Again". It's a medium tempo song with beautiful tempo and with piano instrument. The song showcases the vocal ability of Infinite which I think isn't bad at all..pretty good!
Another song is Sorry (Dear. Dad) by f(x)..This reminds me of SNSD..who did Dear Mom. Ahaha wonder if SuJu or SHINee is going to come up with a dear siblings? LOL This song is only sung by Krystal and Luna. Krystal who may look more like YoonA but she definitely sounds like her sister. Luna not to be forgotten is superb as usual. When I first listen to the song, I didn't know it was about fathers..because I keep on hearing Sorry...which I just assume another relationship song. f(x) currently promoting Mr. Boogie which I don't fancy much because it's not really a strong single..I'll stuck with repeating Sorry then!!

Idol Analysis : Name
While I'm no CEO of an entertainment company, I think selecting a group name would be the hardest part to do.
There's so many consideration you need to think of..it's like naming your child, except your naming a group. I've been doing group works a lot since school years..it's always hard to pick a group name because I'm so analytical that I want the name fits every personality in the group. So I always give in to whatever they want because I would want a week to decide..LOL
So if you were to ask me now to name a group..I can't give you the answer right away! My blog name, HallyuSurfer took about a week to come up. The tagline was changed a couple of times before I settle with "Unleashing the Obsession".
That's my story..you know I take serious consideration in names, so understand me why I comment on certain group names.

4. Super Junior
5. Cheong Sang Ji Hee
Notice the similarities..? With the exception of SuJu..who only there because of my biasness, all the names above are Korean. I always like Korean names better because I don't have to think about the meaning.

T-Ara big news is here
Core Contents Media (T-ara agency) recently announced there will be BIG changes in T-ara. Most fans, including me worried about the changes. I really did think they were going to make someone leave.
For a fairly new group, T-ara sure goes through a lot of changes.. When they first debuted, the members were different. I like them the way they were but I was glad that it's an addition, not subtraction.
Another shocking news is that EunJung steps down as a leader and changed with Boram, who is more elder. I know it's about elder being superior in Korea..I still think EunJung suits better as a leader because 1, she's one of the founder member..Boram was only added at the second debut, 2, it doesn't meant eldest make the best leader and 3, Boram don't shine that much for a leader.
Don't get me wrong. Boram is my favorite member..that is until I really got to know T-ara. Boram is the 3rd generation who is in the industry so I liked her for that. I hope the company made a good decision. I don't want to feel awkward watching their interviews.
Names..
Maybe I should write up a Idol analysis post about idol names. Anyway..apparently Dae Guk Nam Ah name should be The Boss in English and to call them as D-NA is wrong. I thought D-NA is a cool name..I'm surprised to learn it's actually The Boss. I don't like the name at all.. The Boss sounds arrogant.
I'm not a serious fan yet so I'm not sure but the true fan says like it is..Here's proof

MPV Review : G.na I'll back off so you can live better
I thought I could wait till Sunday to post this but it's too good to keep on hold. I was already tired from writing too many post today..but I can't wait to write this. I'll write more about her later but here's the review.
Music
The mellow feel of the song is soothing. The song feels like she's sad but she's trying to fake her feelings with a smile. JunHyung rap is too short, which means he will only appear a short while in performance ala HyunA's performance. G.na does have an amazing voice. The intro of the song is good. it's started of with her high voice then slowly fade away the intro again slowly..I like the arrangement of this song.
Level of Likeness :9/10
Performance
She's very beautiful, despite the outfit look odd on her. It's not weird just I felt like she should wear something more elegant for a beautiful song. Not many people can rock out the blonde coughhyosungcough but she looks good. Her smooth dance is great, what a fresh feeling from cutesy/sexy concept. As predicted..JunHyung appearance come and go in a blink of an eye.

This video featured with Beast's DooJoon. DooJoon looking HOT! Family love again..You know I love this kind of thing..sure it's 10! I'm not going to lie here, I did take a lot of huge breath whenever they had skinships..my gosh, it looked real but hey..I thought DooJoon belongs to Yoseob? :P I thought she looked different here...still very beautiful. Please tell me JunHyung isn't wearing a wig and it's real hair...I love his hairstyle now!

M CountDown Special Stage
Ok..this is only the second special stage I've seen but I got the feeling that 2010 doesn't have great songs. I noticed no one is doing this year's song cover..Music Bank only did Rain's Love Song and HyoRi's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The rest are English song..MCountdown is even worse...they're doing old songs like Baby One more time, Girls On Top, Lies, Mirotic...etc. Those songs are great but when can they sing this years' song?

This song already got way too many covers that I can't remember all of it. I've seen lots of goods ones so no matter what..this is just another cover. I still love the song but I had enough of it.

Narsha Bbi ri bop Ah MV
I saw her performance, didn't really like it but I like her personality in Invincible Youth and I don't wished to give her a bad MPV Review so here's a little glimpse of what might be.
Woah.. is this suppose to be horror concept or just plain weird? In some parts, Narsha looks beautiful..the rest, she looks like she's about to get some blood. The guy in the MV looks like someone..I can't really tell who is it. i'm guessing the production cost of this MV must be expensive. The sets, and the outfits change are a lot plus with effects that don't come cheap..In some parts she sounds like Boa!
I don't get the whole thing..the song and the MV. I'm sure it's not sexy concept.

I was expecting to feeling so-so about because the title and the group name is rather so-so.. but I like the song from first listen..I just want to put this on repeat! The singer in the beginning sound freakish-ly like JangMoon! OMG!! You know how much I love JangMoon's voice! Will be searching for THE voice! 6 members..this is hard.

Super cool with the airplanes..I doubt it's real but still mad cool. The MV doesn't have that little break though..huhu my favorite part.

Another newbie, Sistar is a female group consist of 4 members. I don't have much thought about this group because frankly I'm not a huge fan of female idol.

The song is fun to listen and dance to. It's a little cutesy here and there but it's bearable. I don't love this song but I don't hate it.

Awesome stage..fits well on the concept..it's so lively and bright! The dance choreography is a little boring but it's cute. The outfits should be louder to pull more attention, I guess they are afraid being compare to 2NE1..(but some netizen can't stop comparing nevertheless)

I don't know why she choose to sing Queen instead of this! I'm no Son Dam Bi fan..but I saw her performance to Can't you See on Music Bank..It was amazing! Enough for me to be a fan..but then, few minutes later...She sang Queen and I was like "WTF!"
Watch the video and you'll get what I meant..except if you're a die hard fan of Son Dam Bi..ergh. Why Queen? =.=
Press Conference : SungKyunKwan Scandal
It's been a while since I last posted on DBSK..especially my favorite personality Micky YooChun! Well, I don't like to write sad things on my blog and that's the only news I know.
Micky Yoochun is one of the cast in the KBS drama, Sungkyunkwan Scandal that also starred Park Min Young, Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah in. The drama is about campus love story drama based in the Joseon Dynasty, against the backdrop of Sungkyunkwan University.
Not loving the Dynasty part as I prefer modern stuff but I would watch this because Chunnie is in it! Micky recently starred in a Japanese drama "Beautiful Love" and will debut as an Korean drama actor in August 20th.

Jay Park Nothing on You
So much "won't be posting today and tomorrow" on my FB status..I'm already writing 3! I guess I got inspired by Allkpop. I need to change my mood a little bit..because just few minutes ago I was (^%$#%^&* my head out because of astro..the one making life harder and poorer.
Enough with my bad luck life, let's get down to the serious business.. Jay Park released his Nothing on You MV!!
It's in KOREAN! Okay it's only a teaser I think because it can't be just 1++ minute right? I love Jay but the MV is boring.. I want some storyline and I want to see B.O.B. too! I sort of like the Korean version too.. it's slower in tempo, it has a ring to it. Nice! We want more Jay!

An idol who confessed
Nope, Ga In and Jo Kwon have not revealed their true relationship just yet but KwangHee of Children of Empire (aka ZE:A) revealed that he had plastic surgery! I'm actually astonished the fact he wanted to have more. I guess plastic surgery is addicting and perfection is what we all want.
KwangHee revealed that he left Star Empire Entertainment for a year because of the company refusal of him getting more work done. It's a first time, I've read an article that said the company doesn't want. That's really good publicity.
I've said before that I'm not against plastic surgery so I'm not upset that he revealed he had a nose job. That's a good nose job! I couldn't understand what more job he wanted though, he looked great already..so I think the company must have felt the same.

Mysterious girl revealed!

I don't usually notice backdancer since they're not always on screen but I really like TaeYang's main dancer..the girl that pairs with him in performance. I finally know her name, it's JiHye!
Isn't she's pretty? I first noticed her in TaeYang's "Look only at me" performance. She's also featured on the MV as well.
If she becomes TaeYang's girl..I won't mind! They look good together and I do prefer her over IU, Yuri or Dara..
Melody (Moderato) by Krystal
I saw this twice on KBS World but only a glimpse of it. I didn't know Krystal had a solo! She looked freaking normal..ahaha finally look like her age! I'm not sure but I think the guy is Tei..curly lock sure can change the whole appearance.
Moderato means moderately as in speed..The rhythm is, oh gosh..I forgot! All that years of studying Organ doesn't help me at all..I'm guessing it's rumba? Not my favorite rhythm but I enjoyed playing in that rhythm.
Never had a crush on teachers, so I can't understand the storyline..I find it gross. ahaha maybe because I think teachers are like family? Krystal can act, and she's cute at it!
It seem it's has parts? Part 3 is Allegro, means fast.. Interesting. So first part is Lento? Honestly I had to search for the meanings, I have not touch the organ for about a year. This music terms makes me want to study music all over again!

5. Untouchable Tell Me Why feat. HwaYoung
I love this song at first listen.. the mixture of HwaYoung's awesome high pitch vocals and smooth raps by Untouchable. Tell Me Why is a single from the 1st album Quiet Storm is on my list "MUST BUY". This song makes me listen until I get sick of it and still could return loving it a lot.
4. SNSD Into the new world
We need more of this kind of song in Kpop. The lyrics are beautiful as it's encouraging to be better. I love it's not cutesy nor sexy..the typical concept. The perfect song for debut.
3. DBSK Holding back the tears
It's particular hard to choose songs from the legendary group. Though sadden by their current situation, there's no doubt DBSK is one of the main reason why I'm so obsess with Kpop. New fans might not know this but DBSK actually debuted as an acapella group, hence my favorite songs by them are NOT dance songs. Holding back the tears is the OST of Vacation, DBSK drama written by my favorite member Micky YooChun.
2. Big Bang Lies
Originally writen for GD solo, I'm so glad it turn out as group single because this song is perfect for them to get recognize. I love the emotion of the song, I love how the parts is distributed and it's just perfect. A little contribution by Gummy in the telefon part..:D

5. Untouchable Tell Me Why feat. HwaYoung
I love this song at first listen.. the mixture of HwaYoung's awesome high pitch vocals and smooth raps by Untouchable. Tell Me Why is a single from the 1st album Quiet Storm is on my list "MUST BUY". This song makes me listen until I get sick of it and still could return loving it a lot.
4. SNSD Into the new world
We need more of this kind of song in Kpop. The lyrics are beautiful as it's encouraging to be better. I love it's not cutesy nor sexy..the typical concept. The perfect song for debut.
3. DBSK Holding back the tears
It's particular hard to choose songs from the legendary group. Though sadden by their current situation, there's no doubt DBSK is one of the main reason why I'm so obsess with Kpop. New fans might not know this but DBSK actually debuted as an acapella group, hence my favorite songs by them are NOT dance songs. Holding back the tears is the OST of Vacation, DBSK drama written by my favorite member Micky YooChun.
2. Big Bang Lies
Originally writen for GD solo, I'm so glad it turn out as group single because this song is perfect for them to get recognize. I love the emotion of the song, I love how the parts is distributed and it's just perfect. A little contribution by Gummy in the telefon part..:D

MPV Review : T-Max Dont be Rude
It's F4 Kim Joon's group..so I was interested in their comebacks. If I'm not mistaken, one left for military service and one new addition..but I didn't know they add another one!

This blog is overflowing with Male Idols only...this isn't good, but honestly I'm tired of girl idols, them dominating 2009 remember? I decided to add some girl power to this blog and I choose miss A since they're from JYP sister company AQ Entertainment..Let it be good!

A Short Journey
Remember this post?
I completed my downloads yesterday and listen to "A Short Journey" all day today..it's just so good to hear racoon KangIn's voice! I'm so going to buy the repackage album..I don't care if it's only 4 songs addition, It's good enough for me to buy.
I don't know if I want to know the meaning..I'm already sad with my limited Korean. Eunhyuk did a great job in writing, I should search up for the lyric translation! DongHae did amazing too! It's not a boring ballad..which I expected it to be, since ballad is easier to compose but it's not! It has nice rhythm to it, it's a little cheerful but you can sense the sadness of the song.

Missing this
Damn DSP. I miss this group..HanByul is probably happy being in Monday Kiz, but I miss this group very much. What a waste of pure talent.

Introducing Code-V
Here it goes.
This is their picture when they are known as Bless. It's really hard to find good pictures because they're still new and their name is common, now I'm starting to appreciate the weird names. Code-V isn't really unique, although I like the meaning behind it.
It's no brainier that I choose to introduce Code-v first, Infinite got 7 members that look so alike I want to die. It's like memorizing ZE:A names all over again!

MPV Review : Super Junior No Other
Yeah! the MV is finally released! As you know I'm a huge fan of SuJu..do expect a biased review!

This kind of song is my favorite..it's like Miracle with lots of sound editing! Yeah, not a big fan of unrealistic sound but it's SuJu..anything goes. I love the cheerful tone of the song, it's good fresh feeling from all the dark concept 1st half of 2010.

This is all I need to cheer up again. The perfect song for the summer, because we need some good vibe song and this is so cheerful! I love they are wearing casual yet still smart. The dance movement is cute and I would love to see more bromance on this performance. It's just so good to see everyone smiling!

YeSung : Oooh, who's getting more screen time and lines this time? YeSung definitely shines through the whole song, performance and MV. I know I can only always trust him with having good hair!
ShinDong : This guy keep on breaking my heart..I already knew he have someone in his life, so I know the song is directly toward his GF..huhu, Thank Goodness you shaved!
SungMin : Loved the hair in Bonamana but I like this one better as the previous hairstyle keep on covering his smiling eyes! He still needs to get more lines.

Back in 2007, I was in form 5...obsessing with SuJu,Big Bang and DBSK. In the same year, Bless debuted. Now they're back with a cooler name and I have a feeling they are here to stay!

It sound like Super Junior's Neorago in the intro..I'm not pointing fingers here..I love having sense of familiarity in new song. It's a dance number but you could still hear beautiful voices behind the heavy rhythm. This song is good, from the beginning to the end..I love the whole arrangements.

Yeah..back to the good ole 5 member group! Everyone have a distinct facial look, this should be easy to memorize. The performance is a little bit boring for me..I find it a little messy in the choreography but there's no doubt their vocals are good. The group is a little old for the title "idol" but Leeteuk is one, it's not impossible.

Wait..this is Epik High's protege? It's sound totally different from Epik High usual beats. It sound fresh with lots of guitar rhythm but still very Kpop with the title hook "Dasi Torawa" (Come Back again). I'm not sure if I like this but it's not bad.

Drama talk
The above picture is "Love in the Vineyard" starring Yoon Eun Hye and Oh Man Seok while the below picture is "Happiness in the Wind" starring Kim So Eun.
I think Love in the Vineyard is the only Yoon Eun Hye drama I haven't watched and I heard great reviews regarding Oh Man Seok..I want to know what's the big fuss about this guy since I watched him in Jolly Widows but I wasn't really impress.
I've been watching daily short drama since You're my destiny which means I've watched 4! The Road Home is my current favorite but Happiness in the wind isn't bad at all! Daily drama is really long drama, up to 100 episode.
I love Happiness in the Wind but daily drama is getting me bored at times...I think the twist and turns are rather ridiculous at times. One thing for sure, you know who is ending up with who at the end. The common theme would be rich falling love with poor or vice versa..The main character is always poor and the partner will be the son/daughter of a rich person.
For this drama, I hate it's about age difference. 1st couple is a guy who's in his 30's with a out of wedlock child falling in love with a 20 year old. 2nd couple is a 20's guy falling in love with a widow woman in her 40's. 3rd one, is of course..a poor girl who fell in love with a son of a business woman.
Bring on a new theme! Why there must be a rich/poor relationship in every drama?

I hate that everyone seem to congratulation him. It's even worse that one mention "Thanks Goodness it's ShinDong, if it's the other SuJu member I would faint" or something like that...I don't get it. As a SuJu fan, any member who announce to be married is just sad news.

Honestly, is there any parents followed that rules? I remembered me and my brother were the only ones who watched less movies because we aren't 18 yet and my parents enforce the rules strictly. My peers told me they watched some movie and I gasps because I knew the movie was 18 years and above.
As the saying goes, "children says the darnest things"..nothing shock me more than Korean children. I love watching Star Golden Bell and often, for entertainment..the children will imitate a dance routine. I'm fine with Gee dance routine but seeing them moving to Abracadabra? That's just wrong.
SuJeong of the Star Golden Bell child, she is way matured for her age..I shook my head whenever she tells why she like certain idol..namely because of the idol good body..O_o! It maybe script, but it's still disturbing.
Is 15 the perfect age? I don't know..I guess, 18 would be better but there are idols younger than 18.
HyunA (pictured above) has retortly reponse at the media regarding her outfit and I have to agree with the media although I love her. She wears too little cloth, and she's young. I didn't know showing your undercloths are fashionable..it's just tacky.

Taeyang is back with I need a girl...Got to love that title, because you know it's going to be a HOT song! I'm expecting a Usher vibe, you know the "I need a girl, to ride ride.." LOL I love that song!

MPV Review : 8eight The end is coming
A lot of musician often tells how mysteriously the title fits their personal life and interested with the title, I decided to hear their single. I watched a couple of their videos before and I like it. This should be okay.

Not following their namesake, this group is a trio. 8eight consist of one powerful male vocal (whom I love featured with Untouchable!), gorgeous female vocalist and a rapper.I like the overall feel of the song but my qualm would be the song is similar to their previous song..I can't really tell them apart.

A bad habit of mine is to fastrforward to my favorite artiste only and this doesn't give a chance to other great musician like 8eight. I'm glad I played this one. This performance brought my attention because I love the emotion potrayed in this performance. This is my style of rap mixing with good vocals..I'm liking the song more because of this performance!

MPV Review : Dae Guk Nam Ah Stumble Stumble
Here we go again, Dae Guk Nam Ah aka D-na took a 180 degree transformation and I'm not liking it. I understand it's a part of the whole idol process but I don't like changes when I already like the way it was.

Except the "stumble stumble" part which I think is so similar to U-Kisses' Bingeul Bingeul I actually finding myself enjoying the song. Maybe it's the piano intro draws me in. I said it many times before, and I have to say it again..I HATE AUTO TUNE! D-na have amazing voices that doesn't need to be altered! Don't mess with their voices!! Why do technology have to destroy their good voices?

MPV Review : Orange Caramel
Orange Caramel is a sub-unit of After School but it got me puzzle why the name Orange Caramel..I think Kanye West inspired name (college dropout, graduation etc) are better than a food name. I was shocked to see their outfits..and I didn't think I want to do a review but there's a lot support behind them! It must be good like Bo Beep Bo Beep of T-ara!

It's only few days ago I blog about their Huh single and now they're back with another single. 4Minute is sure creative with their titles? I don't know..I just don't fancy this kind of title.

Oh my gosh..the heavy bass and the auto-tune suddenly makes a comeback. The song is kind of addicting despite the annoying tune. Probably like Muzik I might grow liking the song.

I like watching TV alone so I always record my favorite shows and watch it at my own time. It comes in handy whenever I had to go Miri or other trips. However my place is always struck by lightnings and often my recording will be gone and I have to skip that show.
As you know, Youtube isn't like before where the Korean shows (with subtitles) are a lot and easy to search. Now it's getting harder and you have to be fast before the video gets deleted.
Now that problem is solved with KBS World on Internet!! Well, it's only KBS at the moment I hope other TV station follow because I really want to watch Strong Heart and We Got Married!

A SuJu Update.
I'm being such a bad fan.. I didn't know they haven't released No Other MV yet..I almost wrote an MPV Review! I just pressume that the MV is already released because they're currently promoting it. The latest news is that it's already complete..so I'll be waiting for the MV to write my MPV Review.
In another news, Kangin was enlisted to military service TODAY. I was really happy for him but I couldn't help but to tear up when I saw the pictures. It's so good to see SuJu members supporting KangIn..Dang, where's KiBum?! I'm not surprise the absent of HanGeng, KiBum must be "busy" acting again for don't know what project... >_<

MPV Review : CN Blue Love
After the success of I'm a loner, the news of CN Blue comebacks is getting me excited on Kpop again! They're back with Love. Btw, I notice a lot of LOVE in titles like Rain's Love song...Seo in Kook with Love U. Love is all year round :P

Compare to their previous single, this song is light hearted but still very CN Blue. They're good with language and the English part do work. JongHyun is awesome..I love his voice more in this song! The slight rockish part wasn't necessary but I guess they want the fans to remember what their talents are.

It's a waste not to see their faces.

Idol Analysis : CDs
The trend of CDs now is releasing Mini-album as you know the sales of CD isn't encouraging and the cost of production doesn't come cheap.
I never like the concept so I won't be buying mini album and just wait for the full length album because as I notice, all the songs from the mini album also appear on the full length album.
Die hard fans might purchase everything but I can't do that..I'm not that crazy yet and I don't see I'm going to be like that!
It started with DBSK, I remembered Mirotic had several version and then repackage version. I only bought the repackage version because I didn't like the pictures of the other version plus it has more songs. As for SuJu's Sorry Sorry album, I bought version A and repackage because I love both pictures..yes, the main reason of me buying the album is the pictures.. I saw the Oh album by SNSD but as I hate the song..I didn't buy it and waited for the repackaged Run Devil Run.
Today, wanting to waste time at Speedy..the worker show me SuJu 4th Album in both version! She save it for me of course..I was initially shock by two version until I remember it's SuJu...The fans were given about a week difference on the release date but I was given both at the same time...how am I to save? While I do have the money for both (cost about RM50 each) but I just spend on Beast album. I wished I didn't enter the shop today, because I had to buy right away...She told me that the both version were the only copies send to their shop. It's bad enough for me to ask them to book it for me (it's a business thing) so I took the version A.
I sort of tell them I'll buy the other version later...I hope she sells it anyways..I don't think I'll be buying that because I'm waiting for the repackage one which is going to be released any time soon in Korea.
Sneaky SM sure knows how to get fans buying albums. I open the CD and pop! there's a little card with Leeteuk's signature...does that mean there are 9 other ones? Oh goodness..I can't spend to buy another 9 to get the other members!!!DIE LA
